I've gone Scrap Mad

Well who has been a busy girl these last few days, I HAVE. I think I've almost caught right up with my scrapping. I had two cj's outstanding, but yahoo, have done them both.

Both are Love / Hate CJ's, first one was to be based on what you love / hate about scrapbooking and is below for you all to see.

Second one was a free for all, you could pick anything, well I had already been using a pack of the brilliant American Crafts papers and decided to stick with them, (something I saw Kirsty do at the Luxurious Angels retreat - she played the whole weekend with a pack of Dasher and made some lovely layouts that where not at all Christmas related), so I copied her, cause I'm a copycat and away I went with one pack of paper.
I've actually managed to do two layouts, a CJ entry and I'm halfway through a starbook as well, so the pack is now almost finished.
Sorry I digress, back to the CJ's, as I was saying the second one was a free for all, so I chose Christmas trees and how I love how they look when all Twinkling and Bright (pic of tree decorated is actually Heathers and not mine)I manged to make this by creating a spiral which you open up to reveal the pics underneath. It was a nightmare to make, I thought it would take me an hour or so, but no, three hours later and with some help from Heather, downloading a template for me I was finished.
I also did the BOM Prompt for January and uploaded that to UKS today, this one has to include the word 'YOU' and either some gold in the layout or at least 4 pattern papers.

Gerry took these pics of me on Christmas day with my new camera and the quality is amazing, I love my new camera so much, might have to take some lessons off Gerry though for how to use it, seen as he did so well. It does not show up well on the pic, but everything was edged with a gold Krylon pen.

Next I did a layout of the family that was taken a few years ago at our nephews christening.

And lastly I did a lovely layout of my God-Daughter Natascha, she now lives in Canada, but her Dad sends us pics on a regular basis and I chat on MSN to her nearly every day, here she is, my little Snow Angel.

So I now have a few DT things to do, but then thats me, fully upto date, yahoo, took a while but I got there, I was so glad of these last few days and the opportunity to scrap.

Today I spent with the amazingly funny Heather, I love going over to her house for play time, the kids all tried to drag me off to show me there toys, and play etc, but no, not today, today we where both on a mission to finish off CJ's and projects and amazingly we where both productive as you can see from my lot above. I had a lovely day, we chatted, we sat in silence, we laughed, we ate we scrapped, what more could a girl ask for.

News from home, Gerry has the dreaded Man Flu, I swear to god we will have to take him to hospital soon for admission into intensive care, or at least you would think so, with the amount of groaning and moaning he is doing.

Ben is completely absorbed in his Xbox, I know its not good to let them sit in front of the TV for hours on end, but you know what, its his holiday season as well, and come next week, when he is back at school, he will be back to normal service's, so I'm gonna let him enjoy it whilst he can.

Joke of the Day:

One afternoon a man came home from work to find total mayhem in his house. His three children were outside, still in their P.J.'s, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers thrown all about the front yard. The door to his wife’s car was open, as was the front door to the house.

Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess.A lamp had been knocked over, and a throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, Breakfast food was spilled on the counter, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand lay piled up by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and other piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried that she might be ill, or worse!!He found her lounging into the bedroom, still in her pajamas, reading a novel. She smiled, looked up at him and asked how his day went.

He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"She again smiled and answered, "you know everyday when you come home from work and ask me what in the world did I do today?""Yes", he replied reluctantly. She answered, "We'll, today I didn't do it!!"

OK, think I've given you enough to last a week in this post, so I'm off now to see what havoc I can cause in the house. Take care of yourselves, kissy wissy's to you all. xxx

So Relaxed

I am so loving this break over the Christmas season. We have done nothing, yes thats right, nothing, Me and Ben have not even left the house, we have stayed in and vegged out and we are loving it.
Ben is loving his Xbox, its so funny to watch him play it, he gets really engrossed in it. I tried yesterday to have a shot of it, but can't make my people walk in a straight line, so not a chance of defending them whilst they are under attack, hee hee, Ben quickly took the controller back off me.

I've spent my time reading books, napping, eating, eating, eating and then some more eating and napping. We have watched movies, gobbled up sweeties and played games together, and all this in our PJ's.

It really has been a magical time for us as a family.

Gerry has spent some of his time playing with his Boys Toys and he is so happy and content as well, yesterday he said he could quite happily spend his life living like this, no stress, no worries, just happiness.

Now I'm itching to get some scrapbooking done, so today, I'm off to get dressed into real clothes and am planning a few days of play for myself. Anybody out there who fancies some scrapping time, come on over and we can create wonderful layouts together.

I'll leave you with a pic of Ben playing his Xbox, taken with my new fabby wabby camera.

and a bad shot of me. Kissy wissy's to you all xxx

joke of the day:

Why are hairdressers so well paid?

Because they have lots of fringe benefits.

OMG Look what I got for Christmas

I GOT A CANON EOS 400D, YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I have no idea what the hell to do with it, was very very scared to take it out of the box, but in the end I did, I played around, took pics of the family and I love it, still have no idea what the hell to do with it. But come Feb 07 I will. I'm off on a one day course to be run by the super talented Miss Kirsty Wiseman (she is actually a Mrs but don't want to make her sound to old, mwahahahahahahah). I'm also off to find courses at my local college to see if they can teach me how to use this bad boy.

Gerry and Ben surprised me with it, after we had opened all our presents yesterday. I was already over the moon with what I had received, A tripod and a camera rucksack to hold all the necessary equipment, once I had saved up enough to actually buy myself one. Was hoping to receive money for the next few years for Christmas's and Birthday's. But now, look at me, honestly you won't believe how excited I was and still am. I think I actually scared Ben, with my excitment, I was bouncing around hugging them none stop for a few hours.

The day went brilliantly, Ben got his XBox 360 and adores it, so funny to watch him talking to his friends over the headset. Gerry got his boys toys and is as happy as a pig in muck, playing with them, and trevor, made a pig of himself all day with treats and grub, as did we all actually.

Today is clean out drawers day, not that kind drawers, but the kind you put clothes in, Ben and Gerry got so many, they have no room to fit any of the new ones in, so out with the old and in with the new.

I sincerely hope you all had a great day, and I can't wait to hear what you all received.

Merry Christmas

xxx. Kissy wissy's to you all.

Joke of the Day:

Q. Why does Santa go down the chimney on Christmas rather than through the door?

A. Because it soot’s him!

Christmas Mayham

Just got a quick moment to say hello to you all out there in Blogger land.

Gerry and Ben have quickly ran to the shops, typical, christmas eve and the boys have gone shopping. I've just finished making the Sorbet for tomorrow.

We have finally put a tree up, we were not going to bother this year as the house is in such a state with the damp, but today I sorted out the dining room and we decided to put it up in there. Not all three layers as that makes it so big, so we just used the top two layers, and stood it on a small table, it actually looks lovely in the dining room this year, probably the nicest its ever been, I'll take some pics later when I can find where I've put my camera.

I hope you all get your hearts desire this christmas and that you have a great time with whoever you choice to spend Christmas with.

We are staying home this year, just the three of us, and all of us are so looking forward to the chill time we are gonna have. Anybody is welcome to drop by for a christmas drinky poo and a mince pie.

Merry Christmas to you all.

I want to be a tree

I so want to live in the forest. I've just come back from the most magical weekend away in Blanefield. 20 minutes outside of Glasgow and we where in a forest, driving up a dirt track to get to Dawns Farm, and oh my God, I loved it, real log fires, romantic four poster beds, lots of lovely bubbly, great food and brilliant company. I'm so relaxed right now, that I can't even get stressed about Ben having no uniform for tomorrow.

We spent the night talking away till the wee hours of this morning, and what a morning we woke up to, sun was shining, air was fresh, rabbits and chickens where freely roaming and all was well with the world.

We had a hearty breakfast and then off we went for a ramble. We trundled through puddles, over streams, through the woods and generally had a fun time, chasing the kids, the kids chasing the dog and the adults rambling on ten to the dozen.
Whilst on the walk, Alan showed us this massive beech tree, and three of us stood around it arms outstretched to see if three people could actually hug it, and YES we did, so chuffed with outselves, silly, but fun and that was what the whole weekend was about, silly fun.
After our walk, I jumped back into bed and had the most amazing nap I've had in ages, then it was up, quick play with the kids, whilst Alan (dawns amazing hubby) chopped logs, - - that man is mother earth in male form. He knew every bird, deer, rabbit, frog, toad, toadstools, mushrooms, trees, plants - basically everything about animals and their surrounds. I could quite literally sit and listen to him all day long, he is a wealth of information and you sit captivated to him and his voice.
Ben had a ball with Dawn's children, they had a den in one of the outbuildings with a TV and Xbox and regardless of the cold, they spent hours outside playing, even football in the dark. And oh my is it dark, its so strange to be plunged into darkness like that, no street lights, no buildings nearby, just forest and sky, amazing, the stars you see in the nights sky are so bright. I obviously kept nipping out to have a cigarette and I got all that beauty to myself.

Dawn has lent me this most amazing book, I'll share it or at least some of it with you later in the week, at the moment I want to hog it all to myself, but honestly if your anything like me, you will all love it.

Anyway, that was my weekend, how was your's what did you all get upto, I know lots of you visit my blog, so please take a moment and leave me a comment.

Take care of yourselves, kissy wissy's

Joke of the day: A teacher said to her student, "Billy, if both of your parents were born in 1967, how old are they now?"After a few moments, Billy answered, "It depends.""It depends on what?" she asked."It depends on whether you ask my father or my mother."

Fantastic Day

Today some of my girlfriends came over so we could have a day to ourselves, we spent the morning scrapping, went for an amazing lunch at Carrigans the pub across the road from me and then back to scrapping. Not that I did much scrapping, I was on a mission to make my Christmas cards, and managed to make almost 30, still another 30 to go, but now I'm on a roll I'm hoping to rattle these out tonight and tomorrow.

We did exchanging of Christmas gifts and I got the most amazing presents of Angela, (she let me open them, only cause she was desperate to open hers, hee hee). I got a lovely Willow Tree Angel ornament, which I had actually looked at for Angela as well, but had decided against it at the last minute, so spooky, that we are so tuned into each others wavelengths. I also got some No. 7 Products, think she is trying to tell me to wear more slap, cheeky mare, and a fantastic pack of crate papers, plus a Sudoku book and some lovely green tea, I so love green tea, so that will be gone before Christmas arrives probably.

One thing we never did today was take any pictures, which is not like us, but actually it was really nice just to sit there and enjoy each others company and to catch up with each others news.

Girls I love you all so much, thank you for one of the most enjoyable days I've had in a long time. Lets make this a regular thing for us all.

Now I'm trying to decide if I should go to my works night out, they are all going for a meal and I've said I might join them for a drink afterwards, but that would mean having to clear away all my craft stuff and have a bath and get glammed up, but the weather is so horrible I'm not sure I can be bothered. Far to lazy I know, but it's that time of year when you just want to stay in all cosy and warm.

I've still a few Christmas presents to make, I had planned to do them today, but the cards where far more important as they need to go in the post tomorrow if they are to have any chance of reaching their destinations.

OK, need to go and print out labels and write the cards out, plus finish the rest off, so I'll leave you with Joke of the Day.

Take care of yourselves and kissy wissy's to you all.

Joke of the Day:
Two guys are in a car. The driver comes to a stoplight and goes right through it. His friend says, " What are you doing." The driver says, " Its ok my brother does it all the time." They come up to another stoplight and they go right through. His friend says, “You are out of your mind.” The driver says, “Its ok my brother does it all the time.” They come up to a green light and he stops. His friend says, “Its green, go.” Driver says, I can’t my brother might be coming!

What a weekend

Wow, what a weekend I just had, it was great. Got to spend loads of time with Gerry, something we don't get to do alot of and spent the time away from home.

We flew down to Heathrow on Saturday afternoon after dropping Ben and the dog off at Angela's. Hired a car and off we went into deepest darkest Hampshire. I managed to make my hair appointment and was not disappointed, the girl did a lovely job of making it all curly, pic below. Then off to the hotel for a quick drink, before a nice hot bath and into party gear.

I wore my beautiful Ralph Lauren dress, but OMG, was it tight, had to keep getting Gerry to nip out of the room with me, so he could undo it, so I could breathe for a moment.

Party was good fun, food was great, drinks where expensive, oh well you can't have it all. Had a very very very late night, a lovely long lie and a full tucker breakfast, then back to the airport for our flight home.

It was lovely, I really enjoyed the time away from home, I even managed to complete an album on the flight down, ok, it was a cheats album, one of the SEI Scrapbooks in a hour, Kirsty got me hooked on them, when I snuck into one of her classes at Bonanza this year. Anyway, I did the album for Anne for part of her xmas box, she is having a lovely new house built and her DH has taken pics of the footings going in, so I'll pop these into the book to start her off and she can add the rest as it goes on, then Viola she will have a lovely book to remind her of the house being built.

Busy week planned this week, spent last night over at Angela's making layouts for a project she is working on, all will be revealed soon, hee hee.
Tonight I'm planning on wrapping all the xmas pressys up, so I'll be nicely wrapped up in cellotape and gift wrap come the end of the evening.

Have a few DT projects to work on this week and must at some point start on my xmas cards and get them in the post before its too late. I still have three xmas pressy's to make as well, which will involve getting the sewing machine out, but I might save them for Friday as some of the girls are coming over and we are gonna have a craft day and our xmas lunch together, yahoo.

Anyway, presents won't wrap themselves, so I'm off, see you later.

no joke of the day today, but wanted to share this with you, this is what one of my mad friends sent me the other day.

My dear friends,

Somewhat embarrassing to admit, I'm not getting an annual bonus and Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below:

How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads (knicker stickers in male language): You need four maxi pads to make a pair.

Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.

Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is
most aesthetically appealing), etc. These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
*Three convenient sizes: Regular, Light and Get out the Sand Bags.
I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself.... Awaiting your response. It's crucial that I get the right size for each one of you.

I can't wait to receive my pair, hee hee

Kissy Wissy's to you all xxxxx

My Talented Son

Ben has just come home from School, with his first ever thing he has made in Tech class, and I wanted to share it with you all. its a O's and X's game, he still has to add the O's and X's but I love it.

He has started a letter rack today and tells me its for me, I can't wait to get that one when he finishes it, and I'll let you all see the results of that when its completed.
I'm so proud of him, he actually hates arts and crafts, but plays along because he knows how much I love it, but he has a real talent for tech and he has been busy drawing sketches, and plans for all sorts of wonderful ideas that he has.
i'm sure you will all agree, a great first make from Ben, yahoo, you go son, toot toot.

Its Nearly Christmas

and I think I'm finally almost very certainly ready for it, that is expect for the presents I've still to make, along with greeting cards, food shopping, decorating the house, wrapping presents, etc. Oh how the hell am I trying to kid, I'm no where near ready.

Now don't get me wrong, I have actually bought all the presents I needed to buy, I have all the cash sitting her for all the cash presents we are sending, but I honestly don't feel in the christmas spirit.

Maybe its due to the fact that every day at work, I take card orders, process them, count them and distribute them, or maybe its down to the fact that its rammed down our necks at every possible opportunity by advertisers and shop owners. I don't know why, but I'm not looking forward to it.
I do know that once it arrives I'll love it, I'll rise to the occasion and become fully absorbed in it, but at the moment, I simply can't be bothered. Bah humbug and all that.

Anyway enough of me rambling on, oh that reminds me, I'm working on a project just now, and I'm gonna call it rambling, hee hee, all will be revealed soon, hee hee.

This weekend we have Gerry's office Party to attend, and I'm so looking forward to an excuse to dress up. I have the most stunning dress to wear, its full length, gold Ralph Lauren and I'm gonna look like a princess, yahoo. now just need to sort out my hair and face, nobody say anything about miracles.

Now for fun stuff, have just spent the last five minutes playing with photoshop, as instructed by Kirsty on her blog and here are the mad results of me playing with Distort. should be useful for scaring everyone.

No joke of the day today, as these pics are so funny, I love the horny one, and the fish eye one makes me look chubby, hee hee.

Have a brilliant weekend, and I hope your Christmas plans are going better than mine.

Kissy Wissy's

I'm now a fully fledged Brownie

Yes that's right, this weekend I made my promise and completed my first task, and now I'm a fully fledged Brownie, hee hee.

The girls where all over for a crop at my house on Saturday and Elin and Heather are both leaders with the Brownies and said I had done such a wonderful job of being a hostess that if I made a formal invitation, and my promise I could be a brownie. Well any of you who know me well, will know I love a challenge, so off I went and made an invitation for them, did my promise and low and behold they gave me a badge and a certificate there and then.

What a brilliant time we had though, I made soup, the girls brought treats and we ended up sitting at the dining table gossiping to two hours, not much scrapping done, but a good time was had by all.

Had a brilliant time with Janet, and she loved meeting everyone. We swapped our xmas presents before she left, I was so pleased with what I managed to get for her, but I can't say as she occassionaly reads my blog, so no clues here for you Nut. hee hee.

I feel like I'm coming down with the cold, all achey and sniffy, so forgive me if I don't update on a regular basis, I'll be under my quilt hiding.

Joke of the Day comes from Clair, thanks for that one, made me laugh so hard thought I was gonna pee my pants.

A woman pregnant with triplets was walking down the street when a
masked robber ran out of a bank and shot her three times in the stomach.
Luckily the babies were OK. The surgeon decided to leave the bullets in
because it was too risky to operate. She gave birth to two healthy daughters
and a healthy son.

All was fine for 16 years, and then one daughter walked into the
room in tears. "What's wrong?" asked the mother.
I was taking a tinkle and this bullet came out," replied the daughter.
The mother told her it was OK and explained what happened 16 years ago.

About a week later the second daughter walked into the room in tears.
Mom, I was taking a tinkle and this bullet came out." Again the mother
told her not to worry and explained what happened 16 years ago.

A week later her son walked into the room in tears. "it's OK,"
said the Mom, "I know what happened. You were taking a tinkle and a bullet
came out."
No," said the boy,
"I was playing with myself and I shot the dog."

Next Prompt is up

Next BOM prompt is up on UKS, here is the link Kirsty came up with the prompt for this month and it is 'If I Didn't' and you have to use Green on the Layout, here is mine for you all to see.

Been a busy bee over the last few days, Janet has arrived for the weekend, so prior to her coming, mad cleaning frenzy took place and clearout. Today we went xmas shopping, but I ended up spending more on myself, hee hee, love those days. We scrapped till late into the night last night and looks like we are gonna be doing the same again tonight.

Tomorrow the girls are all coming over for a crop at my house, will be really good to see them all again as seems ages since I have actually seen some of them. Have made a huge pan of Lentil and Veggie soup and a Curried Almond Soup, yum yum, Janet is going to make muffins tomorrow first thing and then its scrapping all day, or crapping as I call, as everything I make is crap, mwahahahhahaha.

OK, best go, trying to kill 3 birds with one stone, need to make something for a Kraft Stop Design Team, so have decided to make a Flip Book and also use it as a piece for a magazine article and a gift for my godchildren, smart or what.

OMG, I almost forgot, I have now launched my new book, go and check out the Lippy Chick website and see all about the new Flop book, it bloody brilliant if I do say so myself. hee hee. The Design Team have done me proud, I love those girls to pieces, only have the galleries up for Heather and Tracie at the moment, but after the weekend, when Heather has kindly photographed all the other books for me, I should have them up for the rest of the girls as well.

OK, I'm been rude to my guest, so have to go, take care,

Joke of the day:

A famous art collector is walking through the city when he notices a mangy cat lapping milk from a saucer in the doorway of a store and he does a double-take. He recognizes that the saucer is extremely old and very valuable, so he walks casually into the store and offers to buy the cat for two dollars. The storeowner replies, "I'm sorry, but the cat isn't for sale. The collector says, "Please, I need a hungry cat around the house to catch mice. I'll pay you twenty dollars for that cat." And the owner says "Sold," and hands over the cat. The collector continues, "Hey, for the twenty bucks I wonder if you could throw in that old saucer. The cat's used to it and it'll save me from having to get a dish." And the owner says, "Sorry buddy, but that's my lucky saucer. So far this week I've sold sixty-eight cats."

Wow what a weekend

What a brilliant weekend I have had.

Friday morning I went to watercolour class over at Inkspot, first time and was only really there as a visitor, can't get a place on that class unless somebody actually dies to free up a spot on the list, but regardless of this, I was allowed a place for a one off session and I loved it. Margaret the teacher had me painting lines of colour till I got them to merge without any visible join. This is amazingly hard to achieve, especially when I took cheap crappy paper with me, but achieve it I did. I'm such a determined little bugger when I want to be, I now have some proper watercolour paper to play with, but not sure when I'll get a spare min to play.

Friday Afternoon Heather arrived and off we set for our jaunt down to England, we got diverted on the Motorway because of an accident and ended up at Kirsty's for a cup of tea, then hit the road again till we got to Janets. Had a brilliant night there, sat round the table crafting away, Heather was so funny, had a DT emergency for one of the mags and both of us sat making up lippy chick books.

Saturday was amazing, finally got to Sarah's Cards Retreat and wow, what can I say, arrived to a hall packed with people, some I knew, some I knew of and some I had no idea who they where, but I can safely say, left with a lot more friends than I arrived with. The day was amazing, well worth the money, we got a brilliant goody bag, filled with adorable things and useful things. 3 classes which I have to say where fantastic, first up was Julie with a canvas book, next was Kirsty with a exploding box and lastly was Jan with a Star book. The team sarah has where amazing, everything was cut out, even the tinest embellishement, so hardly any work for us at all and the results are amazing, I'll post pics later in the week for you all to see. Oh have to also say the food was brilliant, yummy scrummy, food in my tummy. hee hee.

Saturday night me and Heather went to Janes (another one of my friends, or Lisa T as some of you know her) and we stayed up till very very late, but had a brilliant giggle. I even managed to get my next BOM Prompt layout finished - Me and Kirsty will be posting this on UKS on the 1st December so watch out for it.

Sunday, we drove home, tired, exhausted but very very happy. Me and Heather spent so much time yakking in the car, the trip home flew by. Once home I collapsed in a heap and must confess to sneaking a wee nap in, then it was back up and unpacking, tidying up the mess the boys had left and then off to bed.

Today I was back to the world of reality, and work and housework, blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

This week promises to be just as good though, Thursday sees Janet arriving for the weekend and lots of xmas shopping, saturday is crop day at my house and sunday is chill out day, so another fun weekend lined up.

Anyway, thats all my gossip, I'll catch you all later.

OMG I almost forgot, I opened the Scrapbook magazine today, and my ugly mush was in it, Kirsty did a feature on photography and had included a pic of me and her taken at the retreat she organised for her and emily falconbridge. I nearly peed myself laughing when I saw it. Here is the pic in question, but please check out the mag, Kirsty's article is fantastic.

Joke of the Day:

The photographer for a national magazine was assigned to get photos of a great forest fire. Smoke at the scene was too thick to get any good shots, so he frantically called his home office to hire a plane. "It will be waiting for you at the airport!" he was assured by his editor. As soon as he got to the small, rural airport, sure enough, a plane was warming up near the runway. He jumped in with his equipment and yelled, "Let's go! Let's go!" The pilot swung the plane into the wind and soon they were in the air. "Fly over the north side of the fire," said the photographer, "and make three or four low level passes." "Why?" asked the pilot. "Because I'm going to take pictures! I'm a photographer, and photographers take pictures!" said the photographer with great exasperation. After a long pause the pilot said, "You mean you're not the instructor?"

Little Silver Hats

Little Silver Hats has now published the December DT Gallery work, so at last I can show you what I made them. I so loved the kit Lianne sent me, it was full of lush ribbons in all the christmas colours and I had a field day playing with them.

Advent Calender using Blonde Moments Festive Feast Papers, used a sizzix die to cut pockets and tags, and rub ons for numbers, I love this, and have ended up making tons of them for my nephews and neices and godchildren and for ben and loads of other people. I'm gonna write on the tags where the chocolates are hidden and then after christmas put pics on all the tags and list all the pressys ben gets.

Bag is something I came up with for the Luxurious Angels retreat, but never got to teach as a make n take, as let Anna do it instead as she was restricted on her luggage. its real easy to make a piece of 12 x 12 cut into 3 strips and stuck around the bag, voila, done.

Layout is of me and Gerry a few christmas's ago, used Basic grey, lots of hand cutting and a plaque with Joy / Love and the date stamped on it.

And finally two cards using ribbons, one on the right is the scraps of ribbon with white peel off christmas trees over the top (I know I slag everyone off for using peel-offs, I'm sorry). I really love how everything turned out, and I hope you like them too. YOU must go and visit the gallery, there is amazing stuff on there, I love everything, especially the stuff Pam and Hannah did, check out Pams wall hanging Peace, its fantastic.
I'm off tomorrow for the North West Scrappers retreat, can't wait, a weekend with the girly's will be heaven on earth.

A drunk was staggering down the main street of town. Somehow, he managed to make it up the stairs to the cathedral and into the building, where he crashed from pew to pew. He finally made his way to a side aisle and into a confessional. A priest had been observing the man's sorry progress. Figuring the fellow was in need of some assistance, he proceeded to enter his side of the confessional. His attention was rewarded only by a lengthy silence. Finally he asked, "May I help you, my son?" "I dunno." came the drunk's voice from behind the partition. "You got any toilet paper on your side?"

Wow

Life is brilliant, what more can I say, I'm on a high on life.

I really must say how much I love the life I have, now don't get me wrong, some times I'm so thoroughly pissed off with life and my lot in it, but at the moment, life really could not be any better.

OK my house is falling down around my ears with the damp problem we have, but so what, it will be fixed soon (fingers crossed, eyes crossed, everything crossed) and Ben might be a nightmare at the moment with his homework, but you know what, I've finally realised that these things don't really matter in the bigger picture of life.

I'm feeling ok at the moment health wise, my family has a roof over its head and we have food in our tummy, we are all happy and thats all that really matters in life.

This weekend I get to spend time with my girlfriends, me and Heather are going to Manchester to the North West Scrappers Retreat, we are staying with one of my oldest friends (not that she is old, god just realised what I said and she will kill me when she reads this) Janet aka Nut on the Friday night and on Saturday we are staying with the infamous Lisa Tarbuck (she's not really Lisa Tarbuck, its Jane, but god does she look like Lisa or what). Then on Sunday we drive home. I am so looking forward to this time away with my girlfriends, plus all the girls at the retreat, many of who I know and some who I don't but you can rest assure that by the end of the weekend, my address book will be bulging with all the new friends I make.

Don't that in itself make life grand, new friends, and old friends, what a brilliant life I have.

Anyway, I'm off now to watch Happy Gilmore with Ben, I so love that film.

Take care of yourselves

Feel good

I feel brilliant today, I finally got my hands on a copy of the Scrapbook Inspirations Magazine and there was a half page write up about Lippy Chick in it, yahoooooooooo, and it was right at the front of the mag. I really need to say a huge thanks to all my friends who phoned me, emailed me and pm'd me to say congratulations. THANK YOU GIRLS. The book in the write up was done by Tracie Hudson, one of the girls on the Design Team, go to the gallery and check out her work, its brilliant, as are all the other girls.

Today was such a fulfilling day, I spent another afternoon at St. Elizabeths Primary School, with the P7 kids making Christmas cards, I was in there last week as they all wanted to make cards for a Tesco's competition, and this week they all wanted to make cards for their mums and dads. I loved spending time with the kids, they are brilliant and all have so many new ideas. I went in with very basic cards, using just cardstock and sizzix dies and they all made wonderful creations. I have even been asked back next week to design a project for the Eco club and for the other P7's to do as well. I can't wait.

Tomorrow I'm having some of the girls over for a crop in my house, not sure how many are coming, but I've made the biggest pan of soup you have ever seen. Vegetable and Lentil and it smells scrummy, am now trying to keep Ben and Gerry away from it, as those two love home made soup so much and usually devour it within minutes of it been made.

Anyway thats it from me for now, I need to go and tidy my craft room and make some room in the dining room for everyone to sit tomorrow, no idea where I'm gonna put all the lippy chick books as that is where they live, so we may end up sitting on boxes of the books, now that would be novel seating.

Take care and lots of kissy wissy's to you all.

NO joke tonight, as can't think of one, so I'm gonna send you all to this site instead, please go and try this out instead, my friend Nut sent me this and its so addictive.

Lavender + Lime

I have the most delicious smell wafting through my house right now.

Today I came home from work to find a lovely little present waiting for me. It was a lush Lavender + Lime Candle from Anna.
It had enclosed a adorable little note to say thanks to me and DH for taking such good care of her, whilst she was up for our Luxurious Angels retreat. DH was her chauffer for the weekend (and kindly gave her the low down on Sat Nav - Sorry Anna - boys and there toys).

so my blog tonight is dedicated to Anna, thank you so much, you made me feel so special. xxx

joke of the day:

Subject: The priest

A priest was being honored at his retirement dinner 25 years in the parish. A leading local
politican and member of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and give a little
speech at the dinner. He was delayed so the priest decided to say his own few words while they waited.

"I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when stopped by the police, had almost murdered the officer. He had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his place of business, had an affair with his boss's wife, taken illegal drugs, and gave VD to his sister. I was appalled. But as the days went on I knew that my people were not all like that and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of good and loving people."

Just as the priest finished his talk, the politician arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately began to make the presentation and give his talk. "I'll never forget the first day
our parish priest arrived," said the politician. "In fact, I had the honor of being the first one to go to him in confession."

Moral: DON'T EVER BE LATE

Packing factory

My house has become a factory over the week, we took delivery of more materials to make the Lippy chick books with and we are all working like demons to get them packaged and sent out to the retails as quick as we can. Had so many orders this week, that you can't wipe the grin off my face :)

had some new retails come on board as well, so brilliant news all round.

UKS is having a cyber crop and one of the retailers Little Cottage Crafts is doing a class using the Lippy Chick Flip Book, it sold it within 2 hours, Tracie was on to me, begging for more books, I sent her another 50 and she pre-sold all of those kits as well, unbeliveable, now I'm just waiting on the feedback to come back, I so hope everyone loves them.

Went to my little card group today, I've not been in over two months, and I really missed all the girls, it was so good to catch up with them all, and all the gossip that they had saved for me. It's so nice to be surrounded by friends who you can have a good old laugh and gossip with.

I'm so fortunate to have a good group of friends, I have my card making mate and my scrapbooking pals, and then a even bigger circle of friends who are I've know for years and I love all of them.

Next weekend I'm having a crop at my house, and a handful of the girls are coming over to raid my craft room, think I might have to put a lock on it, or at least a weight machine by the front door as they leave, cause the girls will likely raid it empty, hee hee, only joking.

Anyway, I'm watching the X factor, so want to run and see the final, can't believe poor Simon has to choose one of his own acts.

Take care of yourselves.

Joke of the day is resumed, after complaints, sorry, here goes.

Lipstick in School -- Priceless!!
According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints.
Every night the maintenance man would remove them and the next day the girls would put them back. Finally, the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night. To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it. Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror.

There are teachers . . And then there are educators

Exciting News

some of you already know and some of you won't have a clue what I'm talking about, but I recently outed myself as Miss Lippy Chick.

I'm so excited about Lippy Chick, its my brand new company thats all mine and it makes tiny little scrapbooks, that are in the most fantastic shapes. Go and visit my website Lippy Chick. you need to check out the Design Teams gallery, they have done some fanastic work with the books.

I'm slowly building up a list of stockists and have two more to add to it this week. I'm so pleased, bet you can't tell, hee hee. I'm actually jumping all around the room as I write this with excitement.

I've just taken delivery of my next batch. The first batch sold out so quickly, I only had a small run produced, but this time, I've gone massive, and I've also designed the next book in the range.

My first book is called the Flip book and the next one due for release in early December is called the Flop Book.

here is some pics of what it looks like decorated. I taught this as a class at the Luxurious Angels Retreat, and everyone loved it.

I'm also booked in to teach some Lippy Chick classes at two other retreats next year, one for Scrapping Angels and one for Little Cottage Crafts, I'm so excited, and I hope your excited for me as well.
Anyway, thats my news, what news do you have.
Take care of yourselves.

Home for the day

Spent the day in the house today, working on DT stuff for Lianne at Little Silver Hat, was sent the most lush ribbons and blossoms, but sorry can't share any of it with you just yet, as not going on her gallery for a while, I just felt like getting ahead.

Now I have to tidy my room up so that I can get organised for the crop tomorrow at Craft Heaven over in Paisley. I'm so looking forward to it, the girls over there are brilliant fun and have the funniest stories I've ever heard, so I think I'm gonna need a few tena's to see me through the day.

Nothing else to report, so I'm off to watch tv for a bit and an early night me thinks.

Take care of yourselves

True Friendship

I have just been sent the following from a very very very dear friend and I wanted to share this with you all.

This friend has touched my heart in a way that I can't explain, but her thoughtfulness will stay with me forever.

SISTERS
A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her Mother.
As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clicked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter.
"Don't forget your Sisters," she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass.
"They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need Sisters.
"Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them. Remember that 'Sisters' means ALL the women... your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too. You'll need other women. Women always do."
What a funny piece of advice the young woman thought. Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely myhusband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!
But she listened to her Mother. She kept contact with her Sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her Mom really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, Sisters are the mainstays of her life.
After many years of living in this world, here is what I've learned:
THIS SAYS IT ALL:Time passes.Life happens.Distance separates.Children grow up.Jobs come and go.Love waxes and wanes.Men don't do what they're supposed to do.Hearts break.Parents die.Colleagues forget favors.Careers end.BUT.........
Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you.A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you. Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life! The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I.
When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other.
Every day, we need each other still.
Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful.
I just did.

Thank you for the flowers

I wanted to share the flowers with you that the girls at the retreat bought for me.

I love them, every time I walk by them, they bring the biggest smile to my face and I have a flood of memories that come storming back, funny moments, like June with her berty bassett knickers, sad moments, conversations with friends about goings on in there lives, inspirational moments, when I saw all the lovely layouts everyone was creating, and frustrated moments, whilst we all waited patiently for tea on the first night.

I can't say thank you enough to all the angels for getting these flowers, and also to heather for orgainising them. So Girls, THANK YOU.

Heavy Heart

I'm gonna do something which I have taken alot of time to consider before doing. what I'm about to say was written over two weeks ago but I've now decided to post this as I feel that I need to clear a few things up and get closure on certain areas of my life.

This is what I wrote

Apparently I'm a BULLY, or at least that's what I've been told by somebody I thought was a friend. Her comments made me think about my behaviour and you know what, SHE'S wrong. I may come across as forthright, upfront and honest, but not in a bad way. I have standards that are high, nothing wrong in that though as far as I'm concerned. We all want the best we can get. If somebody offers to to do something for me then I expect them to do what they offerd to do and to do it to a standard I consider suitable. If you can't do that, then don't bother to offer your services. Ain't life a bitch, when somebody offers to do something for you and then they let you down right at the moment wehn you need them. I understand that things crop up that we don't expect to happen but by jove surely that was why the phone was invented so that you could communicate with people and if necessary explain the change in circumstances.

This so called friend has let me down in the past and I've foolishly accepted her apologies. We have had discussions about it and forgiven and forgotten, but today I really needed the help this friend had so freely offered and was so dissapointed to be let down again.

So I've decided that I no longer need people in my life who I feel let me down and dissappoint me and in the process make me feel bad about myself.

So you know who you are. I want to say to you, I hope you find the inner strength you need to work out all your problems and that you have a happy and fulfilled life. Take care of yourself and your family.

Now you might find this a strange thing to write, but at the time it helped me deal with the hurt this friends comment caused me, however since then, I have suffered with my heart again, and I'm convinced and so is my doctor that it is all down to the stress that I was under due to this and the things that happened. I'm not gonna tell you all that happened, but needless to say, I was very very very scared by this persons actions and did feel very threatened by them.

I've had a few weeks of stress to cope with, but now feel its all over. Hopefully this person and me can move on with our lives and on from this episode, don't think we will ever be friends again, but I don't wish this person any badness only love and happiness.

We learn so much from the way other people behave and how we react to it and the old saying is true, 'that what does not kill us will only make us stronger'

I have learnt alot from this friend, and I will miss her dearly. I truly believed we would be friends for life.

thanks for letting me get this off my chest, I do feel better and hope she does too.

Take care of yourselves and love and happiness to you all.

Luxurious I am.

Well, I'm back from the retreat, and it was out of this world, we stayed up late, we ate well, we slept soundly and we scrapped to our hearts content, along with massive bouts of laughter. The girls where fantastic, it was so nice to meet everyone, its brilliant been able to put faces to names, mind you though I'm terrible at remembering names, so called them all by the wrong names all weekend.

I taught 3 classes in total, and I loved everyone of them and so did the ladies, or at least that's what they told me. We did makes and takes, party games and an Auction, I think I've finally discovered my true path in life, I loved playing the Auctioneer, had a ball with the hammer and making them all bid higher for the stash on offer.

In total we raised over £400 in cash for the Charity, which was amazing, Kirsty shed a few tears at everyones kindness and generosity, and I was overwhelmed by everyone.

The girls where very naughty though and got Angela and I a huge bunch of flowers each, but they smell so lovely and look so pretty that we could not be mad at them, to be honest I was blown away by how thoughtful they where. THANK YOU GIRLS, the flowers are now sitting on my table and every time I walk by I smell them and smile.

We got upto some naughty antics on Saturday night, when Kirsty challenged those of us still up late to make some thing to wear out of paper, she had two jaffa mini boxes and made a bra, so I made knickers out of paper, however June, went one step further and made very naughty knickers out of a Licquorice Alsorts wrapper and wore them proudly in the correct manner for all to see, OH MY GOD I was horrified but only because I was nearly peeing myself laughing and we had put my paper knickers on over the top of my trousers and I could not get them off to get to the toilet. What a scream, I'm sure that very soon we will have pics to post to show you all.

I am so dog tired that I'll leave you with some pics of the class's I did, I hope you like them.

These are pics of the page layout I taught at the Luxurious Angels Retreat, this was the Memories class and we had so much scrummy yummy Chatterbox papers and ribbons for this class, it was a joy to teach and I love the finished result. I even had enough left over to make a mini book which is on the RHS LO in the bottom corner.

Here are some of the Canvas examples I made for the canvas Make and Take we did as part of the fundraising to help raise money for our selected Charity MD.

The girls loved this class and had a ball, we even had a prize for the best canvas

This was the feastive Feast / Lippy Chick Flip Book class that I taught, it was a brilliant class, the ladies had so much to do, as really its 10 Layout's in total, but they learnt a few new techniques, you can't really see them from the pic, but sorry its the best I can manage at the mo.
Night night, I'm off to catch up on some much needed sleep, but I promise I'll post some more pics tomorrow.
Take care Kissy Wissy's to you all. xxx

Its here

OK, the Retreat officially starts now for me and Angela, I'm about to leave the house for the weekend and head over to Angelas, Gerry and Ben are so pleased to be getting rid of me for the whole weekend, cheeky monkey's.

Have had a hectic day, running round like a headless chicken, had a hair appointment, Heather was over as left some stuff at her's last weekend and have also been into the SECC to see the fantastic Dyan and Mark from Art from the Heart / Blonde Moments. Saw a few other familiar faces whilst I was there as well, it's so nice to have a moment to catch up with people, just a shame I never had that moment to spare today, feel really bad, as was a fly by hi. I spent a few hours with Dyan though, we had a good gossip and I helped to set the stand up with them. It looks flippin amazing, if any of you are not coming to our little retreat this weekend, then you must pop along to the SECC and see Dyan, you will just drool all over the stand, she has the most fantastic stuff, all the new Heidi Swappe stuff, obviously the Blonde Moments range and tons of other stuff as well, including the new BG paper collections, it took all my will power not to buy the lot, hee hee.

OK, My car is loaded, I'm all packed and I'm ready to leave and start all over again at Angelas, we are gonna be making up the goody bags for the ladies, they are so lucky the stuff they are all getting is amazing, I'm gonna see if I can nab one for myself. We have a few other bits to do, then a panic session whilst we try to figure out if we have forgotten anything then if I'm lucky a glass of wine and bed. Tomorrow Gerry is gonna come over to help us load up the cars and drive over to the hotel to set up and then its offfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff. the Girls all arrive from 2pm onwards and my first class is at 4pm, I hope they like me and my classes, I'm pooing myself incase they say I'm pants. Just know they will all compare me to the uber talented Kirsty Wiseman and Anna Bowkis, but hell, we all have to start somewhere and I have been teaching now for 2 years so hopefully I should be ok, but still crapping myself, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wish it was over with already. Please send me good vibes this weekend or at least some funny jokes via text messages or posts on here.

In fact I'll tell you what the best joke I recieve over the whole weekend can have one of the spare class kits from the retreat, I know there are spares, cause I made them all up, and I'll give it 'YOU' if you make me laugh.

OK, won't get access over the weekend, but I'll be back monday with tons of pics for you all to see.

panic stations

OH MY GOD, only 2 days till the retreat, think we have everything done, but now have that horrible sinking feeling we have forgotten something really important and can't shake it off.

I'm off work tomorrow and I'm nipping into glasgow to go and see Dyan and Mark from Blonde Moments as they are setting up for a show at the SECC, and have Heather coming over for a quick visit and so many other things to do, then its off to Angelas to pack cars with boxes and boxes and boxes of stuff.

Still have to sort out my own stash and actually finish one of my class examples off as kept changing it. So I'm afraid I'm off to panic some more.

Please send me lots and lots of calming thoughts as so scared, my first retreat that I've helped to organised and been teaching at.

Joke of the day.
I pray the Lord
My shape to keep.
Please no wrinkles
Please no bags
And please lift my butt
Before it sags.
Please no age spots
Please no gray
And as for my belly,
Please take it away.
Please keep me healthy
Please keep me young,
And thank you Dear Lord For all that you've done.

Kissy Wissy's take care of yourselves. xxx

Feeling Better

To all of you who have left me messages over the last few days thank you so much, its really nice to know that I have friends out there who do care about me. I'm feeling slightly better, still feel like somebody is stood on my chest, but the pain has eased alot.

I've spent all week in my bed taking it easy, did not do anything, no scrapping or anything, did manage to give myself a manicure, but it promptly peeled off the following day, typical.

Saturday, I did get up as had a long standing arrangement to go over and see Heather for a day of scrapping, and to be honest, don't think I could have taken another day of resting. Arrived at heathers at about 10.30am, and had a brilliant day, we scrapped to our hearts content, I finally finished one of the class's off for the retreat, one thats been bugging me for weeks, I've already done it three times, but was never happy with it, now I'm really pleased with the results and I hope everyone else is. I roped Heather into helping me make up some sample canvas's for a make and take that I'm organising for the retreat, all the money raised from this will go to our chosen Charity - MD. We even went out for a jolly to Craft Heaven, now this was my first time in this little shop, but oh what a joy, we spent about an hour in there, pawing the papers, drinking tea, gossiping with Carol and her mum Madge and generally set the worlds to rights between us all, then back to Heathers for a lovely curry and to watch X Factor, then off home.

All in all a flipping great day, one of the best I've had in a while.

Now I'm busy trying to get all my own personal stuff organised for the retreat, and have decided to take projects that don't require pictures, as seriously can't be bothered to match papers, etc. So I'm going to be making my christmas presents for the family, have some lovely little projects planned and nice and easy to get the kits all together.

Anyway, my healthy tea is calling me from the kitchen, not sure how much longer I can hold out with this cholestrol free diet, I'm so missing a good Fried Egg, with a runny yolk and all.

Take care my darlings,

PS, ha ha, bet you thought I had forgot joke of the day, no no, I would not do that to you, here goes.

FAIRY TALE FOR WOMEN OF THE 21st CENTURY

Once upon a time, in a land far away. A beautiful, independent, self-assured, career driven princess happened upon a frog.
As she sat, contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle, the frog hopped into the princess' lap and said: Elegant Lady, I was once a handsome prince, until an evil witch cast a spell upon me.
"One kiss! from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper, young prince that I am and then, my sweet, we can marry and setup housekeeping in your castle with my mother, where you can prepare my meals, wash and iron my clothes, bear my children, and forever feel grateful and happy doing so.
......................................
That night, as the princess dined sumptuously on a plate of lightly sauteed frog legs seasoned in a white wine and onion cream sauce, she chuckled and thought to herself:
I don't fucking think so.

(sorry about the swearing...!!)

Blahhhhhhhhhh

I feel so Blahhhhhhhhhhh, I ended up in hospital on Monday afternoon and there I stayed till Tuesday night. I took a very severe chest pain whilst at work and was rushed off to the hospital,

I got to sample the NHS at its best, enjoyed the comforts that they so kindly provided me with, i.e. yukky hospital gown and no toothbrush or toothpaste, let alone shampoo and shower gel. I was prodded and poked at, to be told, it's my heart that is still poorly and to go home and rest and should it happen again, back I should go.

I felt so low, Gerry was away in England for a few days with work so he could not even come and bring me anything, Ben had to be shipped out to Angela's for an overnight stay with no explanation of what was happening at all.

I've now been told that I have high cholestrol and that that won't be helping my heart, so from now on its a zero cholestrol diet, no smoking and some exercise. My body won't know what's hit it.

I'm sorry to rant, but honestly I'm only 37 and I feel like I should be taken out in the backgarden and shot.

I'm now so determined to fix this heart problem, I'll sort out my diet and health and beat this damn thing, either that or I'll die trying.

NO joke tonight as I'm far to pissed off, so sorry, but I will be in a better mood tomorrow hopefully.

Wahhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooo

At last we can see light at the end of the tunnel, since Thursday, Angela and myself have worked flat out on the retreat, but at last we are almost there, we have built every single class kit, make & take kit, wrapped presents, done paperwork, got the blurb all done for the website (soon to be launched) and at last we are almost there. We are going over to the hotel on Weds night to make the final arrangements with them, decide how the rooms are to be set out, etc and then fingers crossed, a few more late nights and we will be done, yahhhhhhoooooooooooo.

Do you know I have done no scrapping since earlier this week, and I'm really missing it. So tomorrow I'm dedicating the day to me me me and my scrummy family, hopefully if the weather is nice, we are gonna go out and about, get some nice pics and I'm gonna come home and scrap them, whilst its still all fresh in my head. Watch this, knowing my luck, it will flippin well chuck it down.

Kirsty has asked for jokes on her blog tonight, for a wee competition she is running, well you know me and competitions (for those of you that don't, I am so competitive, its very scary, but strangely, give me a board game or cards, and I don't care if I win or lose) so I have posted a joke and I'm putting it here for you all as well, hope it makes you laugh.

Baby Bear goes downstairs and sits in his small chair at the table, he looks into his small bowl. It is empty. "Who's been eating my porridge?!!" he squeaks.

Papa Bear arrives at the big table and sits in his big chair. He looks into his big bowl, and it is also empty. "Who's been eating my Porridge?!!," he roars.

Momma Bear puts her head through the serving hatch from the kitchen and yells, "For Christ's sake, how many times do we have to go through this with you idiots? It was Momma Bear who got up first, it was Momma Bear who woke everyone in the house, it was Momma Bear who made the coffee, it was Momma Bear who unloaded the dishwasher from last night, and put everything away,it was Momma Bear who went out in the cold early morning air to fetch the newspaper, it was Momma Bear who set the damn table, it was Momma Bear who put the friggin cat out, cleaned the litter box, and filled the cat's water and food dish, and, now that youv'e decided to drag your sorry bear-asses downstairs, and grace Momma Bear's kitchen with your grumpy presence,
listen good, cause I'm going to say this only one more time.

I HAVEN'T MADE THE F*CKING PORRIDGE YET !! "

Monday Blues

Well what a weekend I've had. Went to the Stonehouse crop on Saturday, and had a very productive day, managed to finish a CJ entry for love hate about childhood, pic is below, sorry its so poo pants, but I never took it and its been taken down in size to have posted on UKS.

I decided to go all altered on it, my loves where reading and playing, hence the pics on the left and my hates where standing in the corner and school, hence pics on the right. I actually did this on canvas sheets and attached them to the book and went mad with everything else, inks, medium, papers, etc. Not sure I'm that happy with it, but its gone off in the post today, so to late to do anything further with it.

I even managed to do the challenge layout for my team, as we are the ones hosting the challenge this week on UKS, here's the thread if any of you fancy a go. We have know about this for months, but I've not had a spare minute to do anything about it till now, and I'm really pleased with the results, considering it took all of 30 mins to do. Thats what I like, quick and easy layouts.

Today was kids art class, and we where starting on the scrapbooks today, not something I was looking forward to, considering none of them know how to use a ruler or pencil, but Heather pulled me right out of the doggy doo doo and came along and helped out, she was brilliant and really surprised herself with how much she enjoyed it. We split the kids into small groups and took them off to little areas, The kids really enjoyed it, and some of them really got right into, making up there own designs and everything, I can't wait to see them all finished, each one will be so individual to each child.

I'm now off to my little room to work on stuff for the retreat, catch you all later.

Oh here is your joke of the day, sorry I forgot to put one in my last post for you all.

Actually its not a joke, more of a prompt for men, hee hee

POST IT NOTES - FOR THOSE LITTLE THINGS YOU MIGHT FORGET THE NEXT MORNING

take care, lots of kissy wissy's to you all.

Sneeky Peek

Here is a sneeky peek of something similiar to the make and take that the girls will be doing on the Saturday night at the Retreat. Can't show it you all as it will ruin the surprise for the girls, but they will hopefully love it. I'm sat staring at it just now and I'm wubbing it. They are all paying to make this, but the money will be going to charity, we are also going to be hosting a Auction of other peoples craft stuff that they no longer want, so if you have anything you would like to donate, please contact me to discuss this. The charity we are supporting is Muscular Dystrophy.
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is the only UK charity focusing on all muscular dystrophies and allied disorders. It has pioneered the search for treatments and cures for over 40 years and provides practical, medical and emotional support to people affected by the condition.

Had today off work, and it was so good, had a lovely long lie, but was rudely awoken by Gerry as I completely forgot that Heather was coming over, and I was still lay in bed with her downstairs making herself a cuppa, how rude am I. No, don't bother answering that. Spent the day working on the retreat stuff, but I'm loving it now, I know, I complained none stop about it all week, but today, I'm back in love with it, all the classes are coming together so nicely, I'm maybe post some more sneak peeks for you before the retreat, just to tease you all.
Anyway, Its crop tomorrow and I have not one thing sorted for it, and my room is back to being a pig sty again, so I best go and tidy up and get sorted for tomorrow, take care of yourselves.

Pink Crocs

in recognition of the fact that Jo now has some pink crocs as well, I have decided to post a pick of me wearing mine as well for you all to ohhh and arghhh over. And regardless of what Miss Stinky Kirsty Wiseman says, Pink is not so last saturday, mwahahahahhahaha.

Last night Heather came over to help me out, seem to be getting snowed under with all this stuff for the retreat, but with a few calming words from her, and a to do list, it all now seems to be managable if I pull a few more late shifts I should be all done. Would help though if I actually shifted my big fat arse off this chair and pc and did some, so tomorrow I have the day off, and I'm determinded to finish off my makes and takes and class designs, then I can concentrate on making up the kits, and everything else that is needed. Everyone keeps saying it will be so much easier when we do the next one in March 2007 and you know what, I'm holding you all to that, and if its not, I'm coming after you all.

and for tonight, not a joke, but something that will make you laugh at me and yourselves.

Recently, I was diagnosed with A. A. A. D. D.
Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.
This is how it develops:

I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide my car needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice that there is mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mailbox earlier. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys down on the table, put the junk mail in the rubbish bin under the table, and notice that the bin is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the rubbish first. But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox, when I take out the rubbish anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my chequebook off the table, and see that there is only 1 cheque left. My extra cheques are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Coke that I had been drinking. I'm going to look for my cheques, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. I see that the Coke is getting warm, and I decide I should put it in the fridge to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, a vase of flowers on the worktop catches my eye they need to be watered. I set the Coke down on the worktop, and I discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the worktop, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I will be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the family room where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back down on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do. At the end of the day:

the car isn't washed, the bills aren't paid, there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the worktop, the flowers don't have enough water, there is still only 1 cheque in my check book, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day long, and I'm really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e mail.

Do me a favour, will you? Remind me what my name is please Don't laugh if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!

GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY.

GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL.

LAUGHING AT YOURSELF IS THERAPEUTIC.

P.S. I just remembered.

LEFT THE WATER RUNNING IN THE DRIVEWAY!!!!

not a true story, but so could be with some of the days I have.

night night, kissy wissy's xxxx

I don't believe it

I have won on a place on the Design Team for Little Silver Hats, I am so chuffed, I absolutely love the stuff that Lianne sells, such lush ribbons, I will be in heaven when I get my design kits. First one due to me is in November for display in December, heaven heaven heaven.

here is the picture I promised you of me and Janet, kindly taken by Kirsty

Can you see my lovely Pink Crocs, I am living in these shoes, so need to get a pair of Aspens in Black for work, but everywhere is sold out. Also notice I'm wearing my glasses, have had these for months, but hate wearing them, but now my optician tells me I'm almost at the stage where it is illegal to drive without them, whoops, so from now on its speccy 4 eyes for me.

Joke for today is not really a joke, but more advise for the men in our lives.

The Hormone Hostage knows that there are days in the month when all a man has to do is open his mouth and he takes his life in his own hands!
This is a handy guide that should be as common as a driver's license in the wallet of every husband, boyfriend, or significant other!

DANGEROUS: What's for dinner?

SAFER: Can I help you with dinner?

SAFEST: Where would you like to go for dinner?

ULTRA SAFE: Have some chocolate

DANGEROUS: Are you wearing that?

SAFER: Wow, you look good in brown.

SAFEST: WOW! Look at you!

ULTRA SAFE: Have some chocolate

DANGEROUS: What are you so worked up about?

SAFER: Could we be overreacting?

SAFEST: Here's my pay check.

ULTRA SAFE: Have some chocolate

DANGEROUS: Should you be eating that?

SAFER: You know, there are a lot of apples left.

SAFEST: Can I get you a glass of wine with that?

ULTRA SAFE: Have some chocolate

DANGEROUS: What did you do all day?

SAFER: I hope you didn't over-do it today.

SAFEST: I've always loved you in that robe!

ULTRA SAFE: Have some more chocolate.

mwah mwah mwah loads of kissy wissy's to you all.

What silly thoughts I have

Honestly, sometimes I wonder where they come from, but I have the sillyest thoughts running through my head. The other day whilst it was raining really hard and me and Janet hid out in a Services, I sat there thinking its a good job our skin is waterproof, otherwise we would all be squidgy sponges splodging all over the place. Today, I sat listening to a dog barking outside my office window and wondered if it really is possible to talk to the animals and if so could I bark back, shut the hell up, your giving me a headache.

I have spent this evening sorting through all my paperwork, I am a terrible terrible person. I hate doing paperwork, always have, even when I had my company, VAT returns where last minute panic's. Well its that time of year when my accountant is screaming at me to send him bank statements, etc, Actually he has been shouting at me for quite some time now, but today I decided I needed to do something about it. Actually the thing that prompted me, was a search for a hospital appointment card, I was sure I was due to go and see the Cardiolgoist sometime this month, but could not find the card, so a search began. My paperwork is in one of two places. Either in the wicker basket under the hall table or in my overspilling filing trays on my desk, Well I found the appointment card and guess what, my appointment was for the 14th September, so I missed it, now I have to phone the hosiptal to get another one, and no idea how long that will take, which is gonna be a major problem as I'm having problems with my breathing again, and actually think I now need the angiogram to check out my little poorly heart. Anyway, back to my point, I am so chuffed with myself, not only have I filed and sorted all my paperwork, but I have also done all the letters I needed to do, including the one to my accountant, Yahoo, well done me.

Here is a pic of me and Janet enjoying some free time over the weekend, which I have to say was so flipping fantastic, I loved every moment of it, including the lazy time I had at Janets, that girl is so good to me, and lets me chill out completely, I'm sure its the only place in the world where I do just that, and for letting me do it, I love her so much, plus she is my greatest and oldest friend in the whole wide world. Mwah mwah mwah for you Nut.

OK, Blogger hates me again, and won't let me upload pics, so I'll try again later.

Here is your joke for the evening, this one is from Jane my bestest pal here in Scotland, she is a great source of jokes.

Nursing Home

Ethel was a bit of a demon in her wheelchair, and loved to
charge around the nursing home, taking corners on one wheel and getting up to maximum speed on the long corridors. Because the poor woman was one sandwich short of a picnic the other residents tolerated her and some of them actually joined in.

One day Ethel was speeding up one corridor when a door opened and Kooky Clarence stepped out with his arm outstretched.
"STOP!," he shouted in a firm voice. "Have you got a license for that thing?"
Ethel fished around in her handbag and pulled out a Kit Kat wrapper and held it up to him.
"OK" he said, and away Ethel sped down the hall.
As she took the corner near the TV lounge on one wheel, weird Harold popped out in front of her and shouted
"STOP! Have you got proof of insurance?"
Ethel dug into her handbag, pulled out a drink coaster and held it up to him.
Harold nodded and said "On your way, Ma'am."
As Ethel neared the final corridor, Crazy Craig stepped out in front of her,
Butt- Naked, and holding his "You-Know- What" in his hand.
"Oh, good grief," yelled Ethel,
"Not that Damn Breathalyzer Test again.!!!"
Damita

It's a good one, had me laughing for ages, hope you like it too. Oh and if you visit, please leave me a comment, I know you girls keep dropping by and I would love to know who you are so I can come and read your blog if you have one and leave a comment for you.

Take care of yourselves.

Kissy wisseys to you all.

I'm Home

I'm Home and I'm tired.

Walked in at 3.45, got a call from Bens school as soon as I walked in, to tell me he had been sick and I ran out to get him, he was ok, had over exerted himself in PE and had thown up, poor mite.

Got home and Gerry promptly left for a few days in Birmingham at a show he has to cover, so won't see my DH for a few more days yet.

I'm so tired, have managed to unpack clothes bag, but nothing else, had to run out the door for kids art class tonight and now I'm home and ready for my bed, so forgive me fellow bloggers but I'll leave you with a joke tomorrow night and the gossip from my weekend.

Sleep well

Nearly Home

I am still in Stoke on Trent at the mo, so only a quick entry, just to say hi to everyone.

Had a brilliant weekend, stayed in the most adorable little Hamlet called Nupend, with Janet, we had a lovely little room outside of the hotel in the Brew house and we where adopted by the local cat, who insisted on sleeping in our room all night long, purring away.

Classes where so inspiring, Emily is so down to earth and not at all into herself, no Diva demands or anything, she was awesome and I really enjoyed meeting her. It was so good to see Stinky Kirsty again as well, but a bit worried I left her with no eyesight. When I was leaving lent in to give her a kiss/hug goodbye and poked her in the eye with my Glasses, whoops. Was so good to meet some friends as well at the class and put faces to names, etc. Really enjoyed myself.

quick joke for today, whats the quickest way to a mans heart, A sharp knife.

Rotten, I know, but sorry, on a dodgy connection and Janets PC and don't want to appear rude to my hosts by sitting on the pc all night long.

Take care

Weekend is nearly here

I know its only Weds, but I've only one more day at work and then I'm off till Tuesday. Getting to visit one of my greatest friends, Janet in Stoke on Trent on Thursday night, going straight from work, and then on Friday, Me and Janet are going down south to the workshop Kirsty is organising with Emily Falconbridge for classes in out of the comfort zone scrapbooking, and I can't wait.

Things are hopefully all organised now for the Luxurious Angel Retreat, class schedules and information went out last night to all the girls (if anybody has not received, leave me a message and I'll resend). We have started wrapping all the gifts, preparing the class kits, and I've almost finished all my projects. But for the next few days I'm off and I'm not gonna give one moments thought to the retreat, feel like I deserve some time off, as seems to have been all we have done for the last few months. I never realised it took so much effort and time to organise something like this. But true to form we want to give everyone the best possible time and we have really put all our efforts into making sure its the best retreat they have ever attended.

I have my tote bag packed, my pics all sorted, now just need to pack some clothes and then I'm ready to rumble. Oh does anybody remember that song by Ant and Dec, "Let's get ready to Rumble", I have to confess that I have the album. Oh that reminds me I've been tagged, so here goes with that as well.

Heather you monster, tagging me, thats so not fair, but here goes.

The rules are: List 5 weird things about yourself or your pets.

Tag 5 friends and list them.

Then, those people need to write on their blogs about 5 weird things, and state the rules, and tag 5 more people.

1. I can touch my nose with my tongue

2. I can put my toes in my mouth (disgusting I know, but weird, yes I think so)

3. I have to do Suduko puzzles before I can go to sleep, to help me unwind

4. I am a secret stash horder

5. I can't go to the toilet if I'm not at home, which makes for an uncomfortable weekend or holiday if I'm away from home.

OK, thats probably far to much information about me, but tough, heather tagged and heather got her answers, now I'm gonna tag some more people.

Off to tag Jo, Heather, Angela Kirsty and Annie, I do hope they don't mind, sorry girls!, but so nosey, want to know all your strange secrets. mwahahahahahaha.

Joke for the night is:

My Husband, not happy with my mood swings, bought me a mood ring the other day so he would be able to monitor my moods. When I'm in a good mood it turns green. When I'm in a bad mood it leaves a big f*cking red mark on his forehead. Maybe next time he'll buy me a diamond.

mwahahahahaha. if you enjoy the jokes, leave a comment and I'll keep on posting, if you don't like them, then don't visit, ha ha, only joking, keep visiting and leave me your jokes as well.

Take care.

Heres a rare pic for you, one of Ben and Gerry that I took myself, was trying to be all arty and then I have played with it in Photoshop.

OK, blogger is not letting me upload, so I'll come back later when its in a better mood and try again.

mwahahahahahaha
