Oh no not another Lippy Chick Book

Yes, I'm sorry, but I'm seriously addicted to these, they go together so quick and all those crappy pics I have are bound for yet more. These pics of a night out I had back in August with

the girls from Art from the Heart , Saturday night pizza night for the retreat. pics are of me, Dyan, Kirsty, Dougie, Jane (Lisa Tarbuck) and Mark.

I'm planning on making another one of these, for the girls that where sat at the other end of the table, once I've fixed the pictures as my photo skills are so rubbish and they are a bit blurry.

I used the fantastic Junkitz's papers for this, which I got off Anna over at Bumblebee crafts. I love these papers they are so bright and vibrant and really jazzed the whole book up considering the photos where not that great.

Today at work, one of the girls in the office with me, said I take life way to fast, but I said, life is short you should cram as much in as you can, she thinks, I'm heading for an early grave because I'm always on the go and never rest. This got me thinking, would I rather lead a full and exciting life and die early, or live a slow and dull life and live longer, and do you know, I'm actually really happy with the life I lead, ok, I'm tired out, could do with a few more hours sleep and probably a better diet, but I'm happy, I love what I do, I love my family and friends, I love my hobby, I love my life in general.

I don't think an early grave will happen to me. Look at all the people who retire, sit at home and don't do anything, well these people are the ones that usually die quite early, sorry to be blunt and I hope I have not upset anybody with that comment, but honestly I believe this to be true, whereas the people that retire have hobbies and interests are still going strong, I have friends that are 75 plus and they are so young at heart, and active and fit and all because they refuse to sit still.

Should I be wrong and actually die young, well I'm sure my family won't hate me for this, as we are a happy family always doing something and I'm sure they would rather have memories of somebody who was happy and active rather than somebody who was dull and boring.

OK, thats my rant over and done with, sorry if I've depressed anybody, but life is for living and we all need to remember that, its a short time we are here on this earth and we should cram in as much as we can, if that means I miss a few hours sleep, then so be it.

Take care of yourselves.

Joke of the Day

A young boy is in the bath, looking at his testicles and ask his mum, is that my brains

NO son not yet.

ha ha

Have been sat making up another lippy chick book tonight, Heather came over to play as well, and she turned one into a birthday card, I'm seriously addicted to these now, but I've not taken pics as so late and lighting is rubbish, I'll take pics tomorrow and post for you all to see, is of a night out I had in Harrogate whilst on the Art from the Heart weekend retreat, some good ones and some not so good, but then Kirsty did take a few for me cause I'm so bloody rotten at it.

Kids Art class on monday was brilliant, the banner is looking fantastic, hope to have it finished next week and if we do, I'll take pics for you all to see. Had one very strange incident though with a fairly new boy and girl, ended up having to have words with both of their parents, but hopefully its all ok now. The boy was acting up a bit, so to give him a bit of responibility he was sent to the shed where all the equipment is kept with Holly (one of the helpers) and two other children, one of them being this girl, well the boy only went and pulled this young girls trousers down and top up, I did not see it happen, but was promptly informed, they where both promptly taken out into the hall to get the full story in private and then both sets of parents where told. I must admit I was horrified as was the boys mum, but the girls dad was fantastic about it, and said not to worry, its just kids exploring. I did offer to ask the boy not to come back to class if he felt it was a problem, but he said no, not a problem, unless it happens again and then maybe we should review it. I must admit if it was my daughter I would have thrown a hissy fit, anyway, hopefully its all water under the bridge.

And that about brings me upto date with all the gossip.

Gerry is off tomorrow to watch Celtic play United in Manchester and is away overnight, so I have the girls coming over for tea and to work on the kids art class scrapbook project we are designing for them and then its a early night for hopefully, but then again knowing me I'll end up on the pc surfing the web.

Anyway, off to bed now, I promise I'll upload pics of lippy chick book tomorrow

night night

Take care of yourselves. big kisses to F.

Ha ha, blogger let me upload pics, of new Lippy Chick book, available at Angel Crafts and Art from the Heart, decorated with the new Blonde Moment Festive Feast papers, you can get them directly from Art from the Heart on 01423 873739

Feastive Feast

I can now let the cat out of the bag so to speak and annouce the new launch of the fantastic Blonde Moment Papers called Feastive Feast.

I was actually lucky enough to be part of the process as the place where I work printed these papers for Dyan and I have sat staring at them now for 2 weeks whilst we have been preparing them for print and can honestly say they are blooming lovely. There is not one I dislike, and if given the choice I would have my house decorated in these at Christmas time.

I spent Weds and Thursday night madly making up samples to take to the shop with me this weekend for display and have spent a very enjoyable day teaching makes and takes with the fantastic Kirsty Wiseman by my side, we had a laugh but what did you expect from us two together.

So an exciting few days its been, Me and Kirsty finally pulled our bloody fingers out and started the BOM prompt challenges, this will run for a year, each month we will give you a prompt and you finish it in your own special way, you can take it as seriously as you want, or you can do something silly, a bit like me, I never take myself seriously, and when I'm gone and buried I want Ben and my grandchildren to know the real me and not something made to look all pretty.

So here is my layout for you all to laugh at, go along to the thread on UKS and join in, honest you will actually enjoy scrapping yourself for a change.

Have had the pleasure of playing with a brand new book out on the market, called a Lippy Chick Flip Book, it is a book that folds in on its self, and each page measure 5x5 square, it has 10 pages, 5 on each side and comes in a cute little plastic holder, I've obviously covered them with the new feastive feast papers as nothing else has touched my hands this weekend.

(pics will follow when blogger is been nice)

Check out my fliker on the left hand side to see more of what I made with the papers, some brilliant xmas cards and I've tons more planned, don't think I'll be playing with anything else for quite some time.

ok, off to play, I'll be back later

bye

Next Installement

I'm just gonna pick up where I left off from my last blog entry.

On Saturday night, we had dinner with my Godchildren and their parents, they drove over to meet us and they knew how tired we where from the trip down, we asked the hotel for recommendations of places to go with kids and true to form they came out with MacDonalds, Burger King etc, till we explained we wanted a nice family restaurant, so they sent us to this little pub just down the road, Well what a horror, we ordered drinks, they all arrived in DIRTY glasses and where warm, not a good start, so we decided we could not trust there cooking and legged it. We ended up in a Pizza Express and had a great meal, so I can highly recommend the Pizza Express in Tonbridge for anybody who fancys a night out.

The Kids where on top form and we had a wonderful few hours with them, even if we did struggle to keep our eyes open.

Then it was a good nights sleep and on Sunday we went to Oxford to see my BIL & SIL and nephew and neice, we managed to spend an hour at home with them, before we all headed off to their works BBQ which we stayed at for an hour before hitting the road home to collect Ben, who had stayed at Heathers for the weekend along with the Dog. Heather made us a fantastic curry for our tea, but seeing how tired we where she put it into a box for us to take home and have later, which was brilliant of her, thank you so much Heather that was so good of you.

Once rested it was back to work, and we have not stopped all week, have spent the week running round like a headless chicken. Monday night was kids art class, where we are making a banner for display inside the community centre so we were all covered in paper mache and glue. Tuesday me and Angela where off to see the hotel about the retreat and booking for March 07, more news to follow on that one......... Weds I spent with Ann who has kindly pulled me out of the poop by offering to teach a class I'm suppose to be doing on Saturday at Inkspot. Have double booked myself as am going to Art from the Heart for the weekend to demonstrate for them. We sat for a few hours and designed the most fantastic layout, I seriously love what we made and am now gutted I won't be teaching it. Ann is scared stiff she has never taught a class before, but she is moving next year and the area she is moving too is open for a craft teacher and I truly believe she can fill that slot, we then spent a few hours making xmas cards and that brings me right upto today.

I am in a foul mood just now, we have asked Ben every night if he has homework and every night he says no, have just found out he has been telling us fibs, and has loads to do, so he is sat at the kitchen table right now and I'm throat is sore from shouting at him, honestly he was a nightmare in primary school for his homework and it appears nothing is gonna change him, don't know how to explain that he is only cheating himself, good education = good job, but he just does not get it at all, shame of it is, he is really bright, but he would rather sit infront of the tv or playstation, we have even taken these off him but that does not work, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Blogger won't let me upload any more pics just now, so I'll come back later and upload pics of nephew and neice for you all to see.

Take care of yourselves, and hello Fiona, xxx

Annie get your gun

OMG, I have had the bestestestestestest weekend ever, and I'm now armed and loaded, yahoooooooooo.

What a weekend I've had. Friday was my first official day off work, so went to the hairdressers to get my hair cut and coloured, had tried so hard to get in with my friend but she was fully booked so got a local hairdresser to do it instead, the girl did a great job on it, but I was scared to get it cut, so only had a small trim. Then I went into Glasgow to see my hairdresser friend as we where meeting for lunch, I popped into the fantastic MagicTan booth and got an all over tan and straight out of it, she plonks me down to give my

hair a wash and blow-dry. Ok my hair was a bit messed up after the tan, but a brush would have fixed that in a min, but oh no, Dawn insists on washing it, when she gets me in the hair, she then says ok, how we cutting it, after much explaining by me that its already been done, she grabs the scissors and away she goes, but I must admit, I love what she has done with it.

Then it was home to pack for the weekend as had to hurry to pick Angela and Heather up for the Robbie Concert that we where going to at Hampden. Well the show was fantastic, the people where so rude, can't believe that manners appear to have left everyone who resides in Glasgow, we had our toes trampled on, elbowed in the ribs, pushed in the back and generally trampled all over, but that could not outshine the fact that the concert was amazing, the set was out of this world, literally and the music great, even if Robbie was only a tiny blob in the distance. (and I deny all allegations that I was very very bad in pushing people back and any general naughty on goings I did) But I do have a guy for sale for the bonfire, hee hee

Gerry came in and picked up from the concert and dropped the girls off on the way home, then we hit the motorway for a drive from hell, (worse bit of the weekend) we drove all through the night and arrived in Kent at the hop farm at 9.45 am, excellent timing as had to be there for 10am. We then spent the day as action hero's or thats how I felt. Weekend was one of Gerry's work thingy may jigs for teambuilding, so everyone was split into teams, I was the only girl in our team and boy did I put the boys to shame. First up was Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting, something I have never done, have never held a gun before, and boy am I a natural, I know how big headed am I, but honestly I was brilliant at it, hit almost everyone of the clays, then it was onto pistol shooting, again a natural, even got a bulls eye, then Archery, again a natural, high scores the lot. After that, we had a reverse steer drive, well I have to admit at this I was rubbish, if you wanted to go left you had to turn the steering wheel right, and so on, well my time was 1min 54 seconds on my first attempt but this was namely down to the fact that I had to keep stopping the car, because I could not see where I was going for laughing, honestly I thought I was going to pee myself laughing. But not wanting to be beaten and DH had got a time of 27 seconds I kept on and on at it, till I got it down to 27 seconds as well. Anybody who knows me well, will tell you I'm not one for losing, don't do losing, always have to win, terrible I know, but thats me.

We had a break for lunch, which was very very nice, bbq but with a difference, veggy kebabs in honey, yum yum and danishes the size of dinner plates, fantastic I was in heaven.

After dinner we did blind driving, where somebody shouts directions whilst you have a blindfold on, the lady who was timing this though, honestly I think she must have had a drink, because if your time was over 60 seconds (which mine was not, ha ha) she said you had a score of 100 minutes, so that all went to pot and was a bit boring, but then it was vroom vroom time and off to the quad bikes, fantastic, whizzing round a course so fast it is brilliant and I want one.Our team won first place and I beat Gerry in everything expect the quad biking and he rightfully won the championship in that catergory. Brilliant day, but we where so tired.

I'll come back and fill you in on the rest of it later.

Take care of yourselves. mwahahahahaha

Oh get me

I have to say, my new hair do is fantastic, bit of a laugh though, wanted to get my friend Dawn to do it who I was meeting for lunch as she use to work for Vidal Sasson and now runs her own place Richardson Murray but was told she had no spaces, so just went to a local salon and had highlights and a tiny trim, but when I got to Dawns, she plonked me into the MagicTan booth for a quick spray tan (oh I do miss been brown, was always brown when I ran that business) and when I came out she insisted on giving my hair a wash and blow dry. When I sat back down for her to dry, out came the scissors and off came my hair, but I do love what she has done with it, it looks fantastic as I keep saying.

So now I'm about to head out of the door for the Robbie concert and I look amazing, even if only I say it, I have a to die for tan and a cracking hair do (wanted to say fantastic but thought you might shoot me, hee hee).

Anyway, this might be my last post till Monday, as straight after the concert we are heading off to Kent and then Oxford on the way back up and don't expect to get home till very late on Sunday and won't have internet access, so you all have a fan... whoops, a great weekend and I'll see you all next week, I'll have loads of pics to show you hopefully.

Toilet Paper

I'm doing a poll to see how everybody has there toilet paper on their toilet roll holder.

the other day, somebody put the toilet roll on the wrong way round for me, but I left it to see what Gerry would do, well low and behold he swapped it back to the way I like it. Can you imagine a man even noticing something like this. So when I asked him about this he said he prefered the toilet paper to roll from over the top rather than the bottom. I remember a conversation with a vicar many many years ago about marriage and he acutally used this as a suggestion to peoples pet hates and how people can argue about this, which does seem kinda silly to me, but then it does take all sorts, so back to my poll, which way do you like your toilet paper to roll, over the top or from the bottom? does its direction cause confrontation in your house?

Last but not least, please please please go and visit this blog, this is a fantastic idea that Anita has come up with to help raise money for her poorly sister, she will colour change two pictures for you giving you a really poppy one and one black and white for 5 euros, so please go and support this project of hers. Thank you
here is one of the pics I sent her, with her magic touched done to it for you all to see.

Goodies, goodies, goodies

Its the middle of the week, yahoo.

Can hardly wait for the end of tomorrow. I asked my work about cutting my hours down recently, I currently work part time Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2.30pm, which is brilliant for me dropping Ben off and picking him up, but I was struggling with all my other bits and pieces, design work, housework, etc, so asked if I could cut my number of days a week down, and they said yes, so from the 1st of Sept I only work 4 days a week, will get every Friday off, thats assuming nobody is on holiday when I have to cover.

This friday is my first official day off and I've so much planned for it already. have to do a project for the kids art classes, promised the kids I would finish the first letter of our art banner off and have it ready for Monday and with me away all weekend, need to get it done on Friday.

I'm also meeting one of my old customers from way back when I ran Magic Tan Scotland, she was my fav customer back then and she called me out of the blue last week, saying she was missing me and could we meet for lunch, she is also a fantastic hairdresser, so going to see if I can bribe her into doing my hair, my roots are so disgusting I can't bare to look at them in the mirror anymore. Then its off to see Robbie, have agreed we are not going to go in at the start, not really interested in seeing the support bands and have a feeling its gonna be raining, so don't fancy getting drowned upon.

Have spent quite a few hours this week working with Angela on the Luxurious Angels retreat, trying to sort out prizes, goody bags, etc. You should see what the ladies are going to be getting, if your not booked on for the retreat yet, why not? come on, you will need a trailer to get all your goodies home, we are gonna need an artic truck to get all the stuff there, hee hee.

OK, off to watch trash tv with my DH, he will wonder whats going on, spending all this time with him, but he does not realise how many weekends I'm away for in Sept, so need to start buttering him up now before I drop my bombshells. Away to Art from the Heart next weekend in Harrogate for their open day as on the Blonde Moments design team, then away again at the end of the month for Kirsty and Emily's workshop in Gloustershire, how fantastic is this life, it simply does not get any better.

Night night peeps, and take care of yourselves xxx

My Heart will be broken in 3 weeks time

My adorable godchildren who live in Kent and who I never get to see as it is now are moving to Canada, I saw them tonight as they where up at their Grans for a visit so spent 2 happy hours with them and I'm going to see them on Saturday in Kent for the day and night, but then no more. I will probably cry like a baby on Sunday when I have to leave them. Tonight I gave Natashca the canvas I had done of her ages ago for her to hang in her new room.

The pic was taken last year on the day of her first communion and she was a typical girl all pink and cuddly, but what a difference a year makes, today she was all grown up, no pink in sight and no cuddles either, well not for Uncle Gelly, I got loads (no did not spell Gerry's name wrong, the Kids call him Uncle Gelly, and I'm Aunty Pose, cause I'm always asking them to pose for pics).

Have done quite a few scrapbook pages of them recently but I'm not parting with them. I am gonna get Cameron a few bits and pieces from the Celtic store he is abso mad about them, and is never out of his strip but think he might need a few bits to keep him warm once he has left.

We are going to try so hard to get over to visit them in the New Year and hopefully get some skiing in as well at the same time.

Anyway, thats my sad news for the day, on a more positive note, Ben is getting on brilliantly at school and wants to get a rating of mega star, something the school awards to outstanding pupils, but don't be decived he wants to get this rating because kids who have this, get loads of free stuff, there is no fooling him, offering him something for nothing and he is right in there, chip off the old block if I do say so myself.

Have a brilliant weekend planned, off to see Robbie in Concert on Friday night, then driving to Kent, for a day of fun filled activities with Gerry's work, Clay pigeon shooting, quad bikes, archery, etc. and then my adorable Godchildren for the rest of the day and an overnight, then on Sunday upto Oxford to see my nephew and niece and BIL and SIL and then home, we will need a week off work to recover as not gonna get much sleep over the weekend as doing all the driving through the nights, but its only once in a while and seeing the children is worth it.

I'm gonna go and get a nice hot cuppa with my DH and watch some trash on TV to help relax, I'll catch you all later.

Monday, August 28, 2006

Slow Down

I've finally slowed down, or thats how it feels, I took the weekend off and spent most of it lay in my bed nursing a headache, thats what you get for slowing down, or thats how it seems.

Usually at a weekend I'm out on a Saturday all day either at a crop or card group or teaching, but not this weekend, had nothing, yes you heard that right, I had nothing at all planned, must have been the first weekend in months, so I decided to be lazy and I'm sorry I was now, as ended up with the biggest headache that is still lingering now. I did manage to finish a CJ entry I had been struggling with, It was a love/hate cj and I had to pick a colour, I picked brown and thought easy, will do chocolate and mud, however a good frined dared me to do SHIT instead for my hate, I laughed so hard and agreed but when it came down to the nitty gritty I did not have the courage to write SHIT so put Poo instead, what a cop out I call you all shouting.

Sunday was spent in a meeting with Angela trying to sort out the paperwork for the Luxurious Angel Retreat, you girls will not believe the size of the goody bag you are getting and all the silly games and challenges we have orgainised for you, let alone the prizes, they are fantastic, trying to talk Angela into parting with a few, but she won't let me have any the big meany. Which is great news for you girls who are coming, because honestly the prizes are fantastic.

Have got the little darlings tonight for art class, oh what joy, I seriously can't be bothered, but I really need to move my arse as need to pick up the classroom helpers in 10 mins and still not got changed yet.

have tried to upload the personality test that anna posted on her blog and some pics but blogger is not playing, so I'll try again later.

Here you go cj entries, look rubbish sorry, but can't be bothered messing with them. Now don't have the will to go and do the personality test again as can't find the results of the last one, and I'm thats mad the results will be different anyway, :(

I'm back..................

Hello and welcome back to me. Sorry I've been far to lazy recently to update my blog, had a few days off work this week and spent some quality time with the family which was so nice, have still been mad busy though. Have finally finished sorting out the mess of my scrapbook room that Angela made, yes I'm talking about you girl, Gerry says you can't come over any more unless you put the toys away you take out to play with, hee hee. A huge thanks goes out to darling heather for helping me clear the crap out of it, can not believe I can actually find things now. Well thats not exactly true, can't find my flippin 7 Gypsies 6 x 6 fifth avenue pad and I'm going mad trying to think where the hell it can be. To scared to mess up the room again looking for it, but it will eventually happen.

Made a lovely little crop kit for Angela at her last crop using the fantastic blonde moments papers (spring fling) it was fantastic to play away to my hearts content with these papers, I so love them. here is a pic of the finished layout.

There was so much stuff in the kit that I even managed to make 6 cards out of the left overs and still have more scraps to do more things with.

I got Gerry to take this pic of me and Ben about 3 weeks ago and as soon as I saw it I knew it would go perfectly with Spring Fling, how cute is that boy, I so love him, sometimes have a habit of squeezing to hard though as don't want to ever let him go.

So who of you are coming to the Luxurious Angel Retreat, come on girls, sign up for it today, it promises to be a fantastic weekend of pure fun and luxury, we have fantastic teachers lined up for you and the classes are going to be brilliant, this is the one event you don't want to miss this year. Ask your DH for an early Christmas present, hee hee.

Anyway, I'm off to bed, I'm meeting with the ladies for our usual fortnightly meeting to sit and make cards all day, I have a huge list of ones I need to make and need my beauty sleep. mwahahahahahahahaha

Take care of yourselves.

I know somebody famous

I forgot to tell you all, I met Lisa Tarbuck at the retreat at Dyan's, she is so nice in real life but does stink abit. hee hee, Hi Jane.

OK, thats it, just a quickie, far to busy to chat all night on blogger, night night my lovelys.

What a mess

Tonight Angela came over to help me clear out my craft room, I have so much clutter it is unbelievable, you would think I had been crafting for years when in fact its a little over 2 years. So I decided to have a tidy out as Angela is organising a auction at this weekends crop and we are organising another one for the retreat, more on that in a mo.

Anyway, we got stuck right in, first to be scalped where my lovely rubber stamps, she has cleared me out of two boxes of these, not all for the auction though, as decided I might try to sell some to raise much needed funds of my own as I'll now need to replenish my stock, next was the clutter I've managed to collect for ATC's, (god knows why I have this stuff I actually don't get ATC's just get, but I keep on trying) this then lead us to a play with the new pigment powders by Blonde moments, which then lead to a search for my blonde moment stamps, Which we could not find, but in the process the room was tipped upside down and now remains like that, it will take me another two days to fix the mess she has caused, little minx. We never even got to looking at my papers or any thing else.

She did go away with a box overflowing with goodies for the crop auction this weekend, which by the way is a 12 hour crop with loads planned for it, including a lovely class kit using the lovely Spring fling papers from Blonde moments, can't wait, I love these papers so much.

Oh the Luxurious Angels Retreat, we are planning on having an auction table there, where anybody can bring any old crafting stuff they no longer use, have never used, impulse purchases, etc. and anybody at the retreat can go and have a good old rummage (you know the saying, 'one mans rubbish is another mans treasure') they can then place a bid for the item and the highest bid wins, all the money raised from this will be going directly to a charity that we have taken in to our hearts muscular dystrophy this is a charity that Kirsty one of the retreat teachers does alot of work for as her daughter has a form of muscular dystrophy, so please come along to the retreat and help us support this worthy charity.

OK, I'm now gonna shut the door on the mess of my craft room and get to bed, take care of yourselves.

I'm Home

I'm home, I'm tired, I'm covered in ink, did I enjoy myself, you can bet your arse I did, I had a fantastic time, made so much, have so many projects to finish off, loved every minute of it, met some fantastic girls who are all so talented, I was in awe of them all.

Seeing Dyan and Mark again was great, seems so long since I last saw them. Kirsty was there and as usual was on top form. We shared a room together and spent the first night talking for hours, but it took its toll on us the next night, Kirsty was out like a light and apparently I talk in my sleep, hope it was not rude!!!!!!

I'm off to my bed now, cause so tired, but I promise I'll tell you more tomorrow and even try to upload some pics.

Night night

Heaven

just a quick post to say, I'm off to the fantastic Dyan's today - Art from the Heart, for a weekend retreat, can't wait, bit scared of meeting new ladies who all know each other, will feel abit like a fish out of water, but at least I know Dyan, Mark, Ben & Kirsty so a few familiar faces. I understand it's gonna be one messy weekend with Inks, UTEE, and alsorts, have had to print out 11 head shots of myself, have no idea why, but should be good.

I've attached my ugly head so you can all see what image I've decided to go for, never realised this was such a hard pic to find, I don't get my pic taken that much, and this was the best I could find, I know I could have done one last night, but that would have meant doing hair and makeup, cause I looked a horror yesterday. Have finally finished all the designy thingy may jigs I was trying to make, and I'm really pleased with how they have turned out. I promise I'll post some pics after I have given them to Dyan so you can all see.

I might not get a chance to blog over the weekend, so you all take care, and I'll see you next week.

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEE

My friend texted me this morning and we went out tonight, I played it quite cool until 1/2 way through the evening and then asked her why she had been such a crap friend and she said she had no excuse but she admitted she had been, said she was in a lazy place and realised it was an unfair place to be and said she was sorry and would try much harder in the future. So I have forgiven her and told her if she does it again, she will get the biggest kick up her bottom off me.

I now feel abso stuffed, went for a lovely mexican and a few drinks and am so tired I could sleep for a week, so I'm off for an early night.

Take care

boring

its official, I am the most bored person in the whole wide world. Have done nothing today, except for sleep. Did manage to pop over to see Angela for the longest 10 minutes in the world, but that was only because Heather came for me, I was still in my PJ's when she knocked on the door.

I'm off to the fantastic Dyans on Friday for a retreat, how lucky am I, and I'm trying very very hard to make some lovely little things to take with me, I love to make silly little thingy may jigs for Dyan with all of her fantasitic papers in the hope that one day just one of these things will be deemed good enough to make a display piece (OK, not quite true, some of my stuff is on display already, but I want more shelf space, cause I'm greedy, hee hee), so I'm making tons of little things that I think are so adorable, I might actually keep them.

but today, nothing, not a thing, cause I'm a boring person, I've even sent the dog to sleep with my silly ramblings, so I won't do the same to you lot.

I'll upload some pics eventually when stupid blogger decides to play nicely, but till then, bye bye.

Paint Splash

I'm covered in paint, want to get a few design projects done, but everything and I mean everything needs primed and two to three coats of paint on them before I can even start with the papers, hee hee. have tons of things on my kitchen table, and there is no room for anybody to eat breakfast tomorrow and nothing is gonna be allowed to be moved till they are finished, otherwise I'll never get them done, need them to sit and stare at me to get my fat arse moving hee hee. I'll be in serious bad books when Gerry sees the mess, but I don't care, I'm having fun, just waiting on the paint drying thats why I'm on here instead.

NO other news to report, not heard from friend yet, but I'll let you know the outcome.

Take care

Advice Needed

OK, a while ago I explained all about how upset I was with my best friend, have not seen or heard from her in so long, I know the phone works both ways, etc, but I have made attempts only to be brushed off. Well it was her hubby's birthday the other day, and I popped round and posted a card through the door. Did not bother to knock or anything cause did not want to have to talk as at a loss for what to say. Anyway, she chased after me, to say hi and ask me in for coffee. I refused the coffee and was really at a loss for what to say. Reason I need advice is she has suggested we go out on Monday night for dinner, now I'm not sure if this will actually happen, because she said she would contact me to arrange a time, etc, and I've not heard anything as of yet, but if she does get in contact, what should I do, should I go and say nothing or should I go and let her know I think she has been a lousy friend, or should I just not bother at all. Honestly I have never been in this situation before with a friend, and I know a few of you have, so I would really appreciate your advice. Thank you.

On a positive note, just back from the cinema with Ben, we went to see the Break Up, it was quite good, 5 mins before the end, the reel broke though and we where plunged into darkness for about 10 minutes whilst they fixed this. Now I don't know how many times I had prayed that something like that would have happened when I was younger and at the pictures with a boyfriend, typical, can hardly have a good snog with my son now can I.

OK, I'm off to search the net, want some yummy scrummy scrapbook papers, so will probably find them at Angel Crafts or Bumblebee, see ya.

I'm back to add a bit more

Hi, last post was a quickie as had a guest, how rude am I leaving my guests whilst I do my blog, hee hee.

Heather was over to do a bit of scrapping and I refused to let her leave till she had finished a layout completely, I swear to god, I have been scrapping with this lady for a while and I have never seen her finish a page yet, she is her own worse critic, the page was stunning that she did in the end and she was really pleased with it as well, now just have to stop her pulling it to bits when she decides she could have done something differently.
She has spoiled me today, she made me a lovely note book and also brought round this adorable little pink suede case and said she wanted to decorate it, and asked my advise, well that was a silly thing to do, cause I jumped right in with this and that, so she told me to do it for her. Did not need telling twice, I love altering things like that, so away I went, I had a ball, knew exactly what I wanted to do. When I had finished, she promptly said, what you gonna put in it....... Blank looks from me!!!!!! the silly moo had only brought it for me, so I ended up decorating my own box. Felt really bad afterwards as realised it might have been something she wanted to do for me. But in my defence, I only did as I was told. I'll take pics tomorrow and upload them, (can't be bothered fighting with blogger tonight)

OK, thats me, short and sweet, not, one of my usual ones, sorry girls.

Night night.

Here is my go at the challenge for this week.I really seem to have found my mojo again and I'm making sure it does not leave home again, so I'm trying to make sure I scrap each night, I'm off to go and print out some photo's now for this weeks challenge on UKS so I'll be back later. Bye. xxx

Busy busy busy

Wow, this weekend, I have kept myself really busy, spent friday night over at Heathers, was suppose to be scrapping, but spent half of the night chatting and surfing the web, did manage to get one page of a CJ done though, had ordered in a few books and got the Elsie Flannigan book in, I'm sorry to have to say this, but I will not be able to stop singing the praises of this book for months, it is flipping brilliant, It is set into challenges, 52 in total, and I must have done 6 already all on the one layout, plus scraplifted one of her layouts in the process, hee hee. I love her work, I love how free if feels and yet so well put together, I'm not doing it any justice in my description, sorry.

Anyway, back to me, (me, me, me) Saturday I was rudely awoken by my roofer, who had come to try yet again to fix the leak, he brought the joiner with him, which set Gerry off on one, as it was the same joiner who had done work the previous year but never finished any of it and never returned whenever he promised too. So Gerry in his wisdom decided he would not talk to him, and I was left like piggy in the middle to sort out the holes that had to be knocked in all over the house. They have made 4 holes in total and its so clear to see how bad the water damage is, we have damp and mould everywhere, we can't use the front door anymore, because the smell is so bad. Have no idea to the extent of the damage, but will find out soon enough as the specialist are here tomorrow to do a full inspection and report. Nipped over to Bothwell to see my friend Anne, she was working in a clients clothes store to help her out. Ending up spending a fortune whilst there as loads of cute little shops with the most adorable clothes. Finally went home and finishing the CJ entry and then started on a larger scale version of a previous entry I had done for another CJ. Sunday, was lazy day, spent it dozing on the sofa. Which brings me to today, been to work and thats been the highlight of my day.

I'm trying so hard at the moment to give up smoking, but am so desperate to run out to the shop to buy some, hence why I've waffled so much on here, trying to keep myself busy, so I'm off to dig out paperwork for my tax return in an effort to take my mind off it, but think it might have the opposite effect when I get stressed out when I can't find everything I need.

Take care of yourselves.

for Jaime

Honest, I've not lost the plot, this blog message is for Jaime, hope these help.

Step by step to make birthday cake

1. Trace the cake shape onto card stock. Score all the fold lines. For the curved edges, be sure to connect all the short score lines. Trim out along the outer edge
2. Stamp curvy texture in a very light color to simulate frosting texture on the top and ends of the cake.
3. Stamp "Happy Birthday" onto the box top.
4. Stamp and color the curlicue edge along the curved edge of the top of the cake.
5. Stamp the rose trio near the pointed end of the top of the cake.
6. Stamp frosting stars on each of the half-circle edge shapes. Color as desired
7. Mask and stamp stucco texture along the two rectangular sides to create the look of cake layers, or use the edge of a dry kitchen sponge to stamp the cake layer texture
8. To add a candle to the cake box, stamp two of the candles onto card stock, color and cut out. Trim so that there is a small bit of extra paper at the bottom of each candle (about 1/2 square inch). Glue the two pieces back-to-back, leaving the extra tabs at the bottom unglued.
9. To attach the candle, cut a slot in the top of the cake just the width of the candle. Fold out the two tabs at the bottom of the candle. Slide the candle through the slot from the inside, and glue the tabs in place to the underside of the top of the cake.
10. Once the cake box is stamped and colored, fold up the straight sides along the score lines. Glue the tab at the pointed end under first. Gently curve the two end pieces, overlap and glue in place so the end follows the curved edge of the bottom. Put a little glue on each of the lower half-circle edge pieces (glue the blank side that is facing up) and fold these up to secure the cake bottom to the end.
11. Fold under the long tab and bend the upper half-circle shapes down.
12. Close the cake and tuck the long tab to the inside.
13. To build a complete cake, make six identical cake pieces.
14. If desired, decorate the cake box with pressed flowers, bits of ribbon and lace, small silk flowers, die-cut paper, etc.
15. To construct a three-tier wedding cake, make six large and six small cake boxes. Decorate as desired. On the top of each box section, decorate only along the outer curved edge. The stacking layers will cover most of the top surface.
16. For the small round cake top, cut off an oatmeal box (18 oz. size) two inches up from the bottom. Cut a piece of card stock 2" x 14" to cover the sides. Use two pieces of 2" x 7" if needed.
17. Trace the lid two times onto card stock, cut one piece slightly smaller than the traced line. Glue in place to cover the printing on the lid. On the other piece, add half-circle loops around the edge (like on the cake boxes). Score along the traced line and trim around the half circle shapes. Place this piece over the bottom and fold the half circle shapes down over the edge. Glue in place. The cake top can be made a little stiffer by adding a circle of foam board or corrugated cardboard between the oatmeal box bottom and the paper circle.
18. Decorate this end of the box as the top of the cake. Add dried or silk flowers or even a little bride and groom figurine.

OK, intended to have another pic on here of the birthday cake, but blogger is not playing today, so I'll try to upload it later for you.

These instructions are from Carol Duvalls website.

Today is a Blahhhhhhhhh day

I'm having a rotten day today. Had to come home at Lunchtime today to have a meeting with my roofer, who replaced my roof a year ago and we have had nothing but leaks since then. This is really annoying as my house is over 100 years old, the roof on the house was the original and never leaked once. Now we have a huge problem with damp that has run through three potentially four areas of the house and each of these rooms to have to be stripped right back to the bare brick, lintels will have to be replaced as well as joists and the whole areas will have to be treated and replastered and then re-decorated, but none of this can happen till the leak has been fixed properly. The worst thing though, is that I will end up losing decorative architrave that will be impossible to replace as its no longer made, so will have to get a specialist in to remould it completely, so we now face a gruelling battle with builders, insurance companies and a hell of a mess to live in whilst it gets sorted, plus some massive bills. I am so sick of this house, we have spent the last two summers working our butts off in it, summer of 04 was spent completely remodeling the garden, which was a huge task and took about 12 weeks to complete, summer of 05 was spent doing the house and now this. I swear to god, when this work is finished I am selling this house, no matter what his lordship says, I've had enough, no longer love it like I first did when I first walked into it, instead I hate it with every bone in my body.

To top it all off I saw my best friend today that I have not seen or heard of for weeks, I was going up my drive and she was driving past, she never even waved or anything and I know she saw me. I am so upset, she has been my best friend since I moved to Scotland, we have shared so many things and secrets that would make your hair curl, but I feel like I'm suddenly of no use to her, I have covered for her so much in the past and I think I should have said no, because now I feel like I have been used and it really hurts. I called her a few weeks ago to say hi, but she was short with me, or at least that was how it felt, so I just said, if she needed a friend I was there for her, and left it at that, I even dropped her a email and she has not responded, but do you know something, I could really bloody use a friend at the moment and I don't see her offering her services. Which again explains why I feel like I've been used.

But do you know what, I still miss her, she was my best friend and I don't think its right that she takes that friendship away without even telling me.

Ok, I've now thoughly depressed myself even more than I was before, so I'm gonna go to bed and find my cheery self again and I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully in a better frame of mind.

Take care of yourselves. mwahahahahahaha

Do you want my autograph?

My head is so big, can hardly fit through the door, today I have appeared in two magazines. Simply Stamping for a take 5 challenge and Do-Crafts Scrapbook Magazine as a project designer.

I got featured on the cover, top left hand corner, middle card, then on the index page, mine is the one on the left page, green card and then a big pic on the take 5 feature page.

I am so chuffed, I was petrified when Daphne called asking me to take part, and when the stamp turned up I hit a wall in regards to a idea, but I spent the weekend at it and sent back 4 cards for Daphne to choice from and she picked my fav, and I got to keep the stamps as well, yahooo.

For the Do-Crafts project I was asked to design a layout for a beginners project using dry embossing, not something I do alot of, but I jumped right in and loved making it actually. I was so tempted to add bits and pieces here and there, but had to restrain myself because it was targeted at beginners. I've now been asked to do another project for them and am going to make this cute little book that I love to make, but its quite a bit harder so think the grading will be made advanced, which means I can go to town a bit more to suit myself, all within reason though, have to use what products they send me.

I'm off out tonight to Angelas with heather for a girly night at the movies, Angela's DH is making us fajitas for tea and we have plans for nacho's, chocs and wine, yum yum.

Hope your all enjoying the weather, and thank you for posting comments on my blog, if you just visit but don't comment, then why not, I love to hear what you all have to say, don't worry if you don't have your own blog, you can leave a comment anyway.

Big kisses to you all. mwahahahahahaha

Wow, Fairy Power Spray

At last blogger is letting me finally put pics up, no idea why it would not let me, but I'm not complaining, at least not any more, so as promised, here are the pics of the layout and gerry as tintin.

I've been to the hospital today, and its good news, I don't have to have an anigiogram, really pleased about this, Spent a while convicing and a doctors opionion had to be given, but I'm ok as I am, a wheezy little thing.

Came home and it was hardly worth going into work, so got stuck into my oven instead, Gerry had brought the new fairy power spray, and I have to sing its greatness from the rooftops, its brilliant, my oven and all the trays look brand spanking new. (I know how sad am I, highlight of my day is a clean oven).

Here is my layout in response to the challenge that Angela set down for all the teachers of the Luxurious Angels Retreat. I used white bazzill cardstock and making memories girl pack for the gingham and green dot. Traced round Basic Grey Hardware to create title, and hand cut out the petals for the banner across the top with a bit of Blonde moments ribbons, everything is stitched down curtesy of my sewing machine, which is now broken.

Here is the pic of Gerry doing his TinTin impression, how cute does he look, in reality he is all stinky and smelly cause he is just back from the football.

ok, thats me for today, can't burn dinner for two days on the trot so best run.

take care of yourselves. mwahahahaha

Damn Midges

Today, me and Ben went golf ball hunting, a lovely walk around the outside edge of the driving range, this is something we use to do alot, but as he has grown, he has wanted to spend more time with his friends like any typical teenager. Today he did not have a choice as was grounded, any excuse to get out of the house and garden was a good one.

We where both attacked by the dreaded scottish midgy, I swear to god these things had sticks and beat us both with them. We are now both covered in nasty little lumps everywhere and itching like made, can't find the calamine lotion anywhere, either.

On the up side, we got a bag full of golf balls for Trevor to have a field day with, daft dog, adores golf balls, he will carry it around all day in his little mouth, but he does not destroy them, thank goodness.
We use to hand the balls back into the golf shop at the end of the course, but have decided no more, Ben use to take in a bag full to the top and would get a sweety and drink as a thanks, but now the big meanies just take the bag off him and say thanks and thats it, so we are not giving them their balls back any longer, we don't care if its considered stealing, if they wanted their balls so badly they would have gone and got them themselves. So if anybody wants any golf balls, give me a shout, I can do a fantastic deal on them, swap ya for a sweety and drink.

Pic is of Trevor and Ben in the backgarden when we got home with our spoils of the day.

Gerry asked me to cut his hair today with the clippers, so stood outside and away I went, clip clip clip, then this little evil voice inside my head said, leave a bit and run away, so I did, I left him with a TinTin curl and then hide the clippers, I refused to cut it off till after he had been out to play his usual Sunday game of 5 a sides, hee hee, how evil am I. Everyone called him Tin Tin. I did cut it off when he got home, but actually think he was starting to like it, I kept on catching him, stroking and it and forming it into a curl, strange bloke.

Have been busy on a layout today, for a challenge that Angela from Angel Crafts has set, for all the teachers of the Luxurious Angels Retreat. Luxurious Angels have the most adorable image that they are using in all the marketing material and that was what we had to scrap. I saw Maggies Layout yesterday, and I have to say it was fantastic with a great funny little twist to it, that made me laugh, hopefully Angela will be posting these on her blog and website after tomorrow, which is the official date for tickets for the Retreat go on sale, and the annoucement of the fourth teacher, which is a huge coup for Luxurious Angels, she is a superstar and a fantastic scrapper, who I admire greatly.

OK, I'm off to have a quick tidy and then a very very early night.

Take care of youselves.

Mwahahahahah

(OK, I've tried about 5 times to add a pic of Gerry with his TinTin hair do and blogger is not letting me, I'll come back and try again later)
((ok I give in, I have tried yet again to get pic of gerry up but to no avail, so I'll post it on tomorrows blog if I can))

Can this weekend get any better

so chuffed and so excited, wanted to share this with you all.

I have just logged onto UKS and sitting there waiting for me was a lovely surprise. I have made it onto the design team for Kraft Stop, can't believe it, I am gobsmacked (does not happen often)

I must have a lucky angel with me at the mo, cause things are just getting better and better, which actually its about time they did, had a small downwards thing going on there for a while, but it just goes to show if you stick at it and pull your big girl knickers on, things will eventually turn out all right.

Yahoooooooooooooooo

Bye

Hi, have been to a crop today, and I have not laughed so hard in weeks. Ain't it strange, I feel like the past few weeks all I have done is laugh, don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, but I kinda think I laugh more during the summer than in the winter, does anybody else feel the same? or is it just me been strange.

Not much news to report other than the news I gave earlier, about my ugly face picture winning, still can't believe that, hee hee.

tonight has been deemed family night, so we are gonna have hot dogs, nacho's, cheese sauce and movies galore, not sure yet, will depend on what Ben wants to watch, but I'm sure it will be fun, mind you think I might fall straight to sleep infront of TV.

Hope your all having a ball, what ever you are doing.

Big hi and hug to Fiona if your reading this, mwahahahahhahah just for you.xxxx

OMG I can't believe it

Oh my god, I can't believe it, I only flipping won the challenge that Kirsty threw down for everybody to do a layout of yourself but had to be a funny face.

Here is the layout I did, be warned its horrific.

You could always show this to the kids and tell them this is what happened to me when the wind changed direction, hee hee, remember when your mum use to say that to you, "don't pull a face like that, cause if the wind changes it will stay like that".

I'm so chuffed I won, did not honestly think I was in with a chance, as such talented ladies had entered.

Off to bed now. Night night.

Another Surprise for the Retreat

Today, has been spent biting my nails, awaiting a email from somebody very very speshal, Had asked the abso brill lady about teaching at the retreat and had to wait till I got home from work before I could find out if it was good news or bad. Finally got out of work and sprinted home like a mad woman, and yes, the email was there waiting for me. Dare I open it, what if it was bad news, would I be able to cope with the disappointment, me thinks not. Ok, I click open and YAHOO, she said yes. I can't believe it, I'm jumping up and down on my seat, whoops have broken seat, hell, who cares, she said yes, how fab is that.

however, I can't reveal who she is till Monday, so I'm so sorry girls, you will just have to hope that in my usual dizzy way, I make a booby and mention it or you will have to be patient and wait till Monday, when all will be revealed. Hee hee, I know I'm evil, but honest this news is worth waiting for.

On another note, came home, also looking forward to a slice of calorie free cake, only to discover, that DH had read my blog and decided to go and explore fridge (area of house he is not familiar with - ok only joking Gerry, don't throw a wobbly) and he ate it all, fab bloater, so had to make do with Jaffa Cakes instead.

Its nearly TFiF and I can't wait, have so much to do before I'm let out to play this weekend, have to do the mountain (I swear to god it is a mountain, have the tourist board coming in next week to designate it a place of interest to visit) ironing pile to do, plus run round like a headless chicken, dusting and hoovering, ummmhhh wonder if I could bribe ben to do the dusting for a few pounds, ummhhh wonder if I could sneak said few pounds out of Gerry's money tin. Then I have to tidy the mess that is my craft room, have a crop on Saturday and as of this present moment in time, I won't be going unless I get my lazy giant arse into gear and sort out my stuff.

Anyway, off to bed now, going to see if I can get to bed the same day I got out of it for a change, take care of yourselves.

Calorie Free Chocolate Cake

At last, Asda have developed a Calorie Free Chocolate Cake, I know I can just see you all running to grab your coats and bags and fly out the door to run down there to grab some while you can. Hold on though. All of this is completely in the imagination of my darling but dim friend Angela.

Tonight she came round to my house, as going to Camera Class, we had already agreed that instead of the horrible fattening Chippy Dinner that we usually have after class (must just say, I love Chippy dinners) we would go out somewhere nice for Dinner as we where dragging Heather along with us, think Angela wanted to let her believe we are nice civilised people, ha ha, fat chance of that. Sorry I'm wandering off the subject here, ok, I'm back, I'm focused, now back to my story. In comes Angela and presents me with an Asda Bag, I go, ohhhh, what's this, pressy for me (I so love to get pressy's) and she says yes its a Calorie Free Chocolate Cake, so straight in I dive, I'm looking all over the box for the magic words, calorie free when she points to the bit where the expiry date bit is and says there, it says it there, Calorie Free. Well I nearly feel off my chair laughing at her, what a bimbo, and honestly she is not blonde, but you would never believe that.

Here's a pic of the offending item, just to make your mouth water. Both Angela and Heather, had much fun, taking the complete mickey out of me for this pic, cause I had to make sure the lighting and everything was just right, and I would not let them have a slice till I had got the perfect shot, they even suggested I sprinkle coco round the plate, which I did, must to the enjoyment of them, they could not stop laughing at me, horrible horrible girls, and these are suppose to be my friends, I'll get my own back on you.

Have had a fantastic night, have laughed till my tummy hurts, ate good food and had good company, only down side has been that my breathing today has been terrible, seems to be getting worse. I'm trying all sorts of things to see if its something I'm doing in my lifestyle to make it like this, but no matter what I change or stop in my habits it is not getting better. Thank goodness I'm at the hospital soon because its really beginning to get me down. Enough of me been miserable, I hope your all having a fantastic time and enjoying this nice little spell of sunshine we are getting.

See you all soon. Love ME.

I am so tired, have been pulling far too many late nights, counted up today how many hours sleep I have had in the last 4 days and its well under 20 hours. On the plus side I have no bags under my eyes, which must be a first, so all these stories of staying up late causes bags is rubbish.

Why are men so stupid, that is the universal question tonight, my DH, god bless his soul, cause somebody will need to, has been in Dublin all day on business and missed his flight home, so muggings here had to go all the way out to Glasgow Airport to pick his lordship up, take him to Prestwick airport, a flipping great distance away and drop him off so he could pick his car up. On the plus side he did make up some brownie points though, he brought me a lovely Guinness T-Shirt home. Only problem was I thought it was for Ben cause it was so teeny tiny. Was a size 10 to 12, who does he think he is kidding, he surely must have noticed that I have big boobies and that a size 10 – 12 is never ever ever gonna fit over them babies. Even Ben tried it on and it was a tight fit on him.

OK, I have to go, have some more work to do, before I call it a night, gonna see if I can get my bags back, by getting at least 5 hours sleep.

Take care of yourselves Mwahahahahahahahhaha

Its Official

Its official can tell you all, the fabby wabby speshal Kirsty Wiseman will be teaching at the Luxurious Angel retreat.

Can't wait, now just need to start on the organising of it all.

Can anyone tell me where I can get Tena Ladies from, have spent the last 24 hours nearly peeing myself with laughter, Angela and Heather have had me in stiches, they are so good, they knew I needed cheering up as feel pretty down at the moment. Have to go to hospital next week for cardio tests and then in the week after for an angiogram, and am scared to death with worry about it, not sure whats wrong but I'll know soon enough.

Meet a old friend today in Glasgow, she was up for the weekend from Cambridge with her daughter and friend who went off to tea in the park to get all muddy and messy. The girls had a fab time and shared some of the stories with me, it made my hair curl. It was so good to see Karen again, has been 2 years since we last met up, this was only a quickie, picked them up from hotel, went for tea and then had to drop them off at the Airport, felt a bit bad as that was the only time I could spare her and she had been here all weekend, but she made good use of her time having manicures, massages, the works, lucky cow, wish I had free time to do that.

OK, I have to run, trying to finish challenge layouts and projects for kids art classes, so up to my elbows in glitter, glue and paint, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Luxurious Angel Retreat

Its now official, I will be teaching at the Luxurious Angel Retreat, been held in Lockerbie in October (27 - 29) and I'm so excited.

The hotel is flipping stunning, me and Angela where there again today to check out some of the rooms and iron out the finer details. It is going to be fantastic, Angela has some fantastic teachers lined up already to teach at it and is waiting on one more getting back to her, which in my in my humble opionion is the cream of the crop, but I'm not going to name her just now incase I jinx it. Keep your fingers, eyes and toes crossed she says yes.

Here is the hotel, please go and have a look you will just scream at how gorg it is.

If anybody does want to go, you can either drop me or Angela at Angel crafts a line and we will add you to the list, be warned though places are limited to 30, its going to be an exclusive event.

OK, rest of my news, I don't have any, sad muppet I am, have spent all weekend helping out with sorting this out.

OK I lied, I have finally finished working on a CJ that has only taken me two weeks to do (I'll post a pic later after I manage to unpack my bags), my excuse is that my mojo has left home and is living under the bed at Angelas, seems that the only place I manage to get anything done. I have also managed to make a start on my layout for the challenges that me and Kirsty are going to be starting on UKS, I will post the pic as soon as the challenge starts for all you none uks bloggers out there.

I now have to go and face the mountain that lives in my bedroom called Ironing, its a horrible thing that just seems to grow each day, how the hell it does it is beyond me, cause I'm sure I don't wear that many clothes. I'm gonna have to start making Ben wear his clothes inside out to get double the wear out of them. Now that is a great idea, off to see what he thinks of that.

Take care of yourselves.

Love ya xxxxx

Off tomorrow back to that wonderful hotel we went to the other night, to see if we can blag a lunch out of them, ha ha, fat chance, off to check out some of their rooms, come back later for more news on this as well, you will want to be involved, its gonna be fab.

I know I'm such a pig for not giving all the news, for making you wait, but thats me to a tee, a right cow.

OK, have to go, catch you all later, till then take care of yourselves.

Yum Yum

Its just after midnight, and I'm finally home from my evening out with Angela, we where off hunting for a hotel, and where kindly invited to dinner by one of the hotel owners, wow where we blown away, the hotel was stunning, want to live there and greet people at the door wearing a tiara. The dinner was amazing, I could not eat all of mine and said I wanted a doggy bag to take it home, but Angela had a fit at my suggestion and promptly said NO, what a spoil sport, could not believe she would not let me ask, but suppose I would have appeared as common as muck, should I have asked, but then thats me, common as muck.

The weather is so lovely at the moment, can't believe people are complaining about abit of sun. This will probably be the only bit we get all year, and you just know as soon as it goes away, everyone will complain its to cold/wet/windy/snowy, blah blah blah, you just can't please people can you.

Finally got to see one of my nicest, sweetiest friends yesterday, seems like its been months since I last saw her, when in reality its probably only a month, her daughter has just had a baby boy so she has been doing the granny things and not had much time for anything else, but managed to sneak a few hours with her yesterday in her back garden and will get to spend the day with her on Saturday, so I'm really pleased about that.

On the down side though, I have not seen or heard from my bestest bestest friend in ages now, no response to emails, or texts so have no idea if everything is ok, must admit I am missing her like hell, so would love to talk to her, whoops eyes filling up with tears at the thought of how much I'm missing her, so gonna stop talking now.

OK, I'm off to Bed, will catch you all tomorrow, take care of yourselves. xxx

Just a quick post tonight to say hi to everyone. Went to photography class tonight, its only my second time, but already I feel like I have learnt something, took this pic of Ben just before leaving and then adjusted in Photoshop whilst I was there, and I love the results, hope you do to.

Took a few more but am still playing with these ones and also some of the pics have girls from the class in them and not sure they would be best pleased with me for uploading pics of them on to my blog. hee hee.

I am really enjoying the classes though and David who runs them has the patience of a saint, well he would need to with me in his class.

I'm off out tomorrow night for dinner in a lovely hotel with my friend Angela, can't wait will make such a change to get out into an environment for real adults that dress up for dinner, oh how lucky will I be. Watch this, I'll spill my dinner all over my lap knowing me.

Anyway have to run as still need to run round and have a tidy before bed, night night. xxx

I'm Back

Hi there fellow bloggers, so sorry I have not updated in quite a while, and I was doing so well uptil now. But I have my reasons.

I lost my mojo, could not find it anywhere, it had simply ran away from home, but yippee finally found it hiding at Angelas house, so have now dragged its sorry arse back home, its not happy with me, but its kinda back.

My news has not been good resently, I have been a bit poorly, but got a good holiday to help me recover, so now have a lovely tan, which is rapidly peeling off my skin and I know look like a horrible scaley lizard, hee hee.

I'm so excited this month, as am going to be published in two mags and its not just the usual bog standard stuff that you send off in the hope that they might decide to publish on the readers page, its proper stuff that they asked me to do, nearly peed myself when they asked, and am now nearly peeing myself with excitment waiting on the mags coming out. I'm going to be in the Do-Crafts scrapbooking mag, have done the project of the month, dry embossing (which I don't do alot of but went wild with balloons on it) and in Simply Stamping as one of the take 5 challenges for a card design (went mad with ranger inks and walked around with green hands for a few days). As soon as the mags are out, I'm gonna buy loads as want to show off to all my family and friends, plus think I'm gonna frame them as well.

Have only done one class this month, but it was a blast, was ATC's which I'm not that great at, but taught the ladies loads of lovely lush paint techniques and would not let them leave the class till there hands where as disgusting as mine. We had a ball and everyone made some stunning ATC's and did there first trades as well, they are all now well and truly hooked.

Things at home are hectic as usual, Ben broke up from School on Weds for the summer, he has now officially left Primary School and starts High School in August, he is a bit worried about it, scared incase he does not know where to go, or what to do, so I've told him just to follow everyone else. At least he will know loads of people as all of the kids from he went to school with, will be going to the same school. He is growing up so fast, and is a typical boy, who is driving me up the wall. Brought him new trainers on Thursday and they are ruined already, so he will be spending the summer barefoot, cause I refuse to spend more money on trainers that last 5 mins ( I know I'm such a bad mother, but I don't care)

OK thats me updated you all, so I'm off to paw over all the lovely layouts on UKS. Oh that reminds me, you must go and see Kirsty's latest mad challenge, its to do a layout on a funny face of yourself, have done one myself, don't want to scare you all, so not gonna put it on here.

Heres is the link to Kirsty's challenge: http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=115328

Take care of yourselves, love Roz

I've found a cure for headaches

And its called Alcohol. Yippee its my birthday and I've finally gotten rid of my headache, had a full bottle of wine, and yahoo, its done the trick that doctors could not achieve, my headache is gone. I have to be supurivised whilst typing this though, which is one draw back.

Had a wonderful day, got took for my lunch, by the lovely Angela and she very very nicely gave me a new set of pebbles earth tone chalks for my birthday, cause mine are all broken and I could not jusify buying another set and some Basic grey rub-on's, only problem is they are so nice and you get so few in the packet that I'll never use them cause I don't want to waste them.

I got a brilliant fabby A3 printer off Gerry so can do my layouts now with titles printed directly on, what a result, did not think I would get this as far to many pennies and I got a lovely kiss and hug off Ben, what more could a mother ask for on her birthday, keep this quiet, but that was the best gift out of them all.

Off to bed now, before I make a fool of myself.

I love you all, and take care of you.

Boss is not really an monster

Two posts from me in one day, can you tell I'm bored. Actually I should be doing something creative, but head is far to sore. Went to work but cause I looked so horrible everyone was nice to me, hee hee, took the tablets the hospital gave me, but they make me feel really funny, and not ha ha funny, kinda woosie and sicky, which can't be a good thing, now I'm worried about taking them as can't tell if head is poorly cause of hitting it off metal beam or if tablets are making it poorly.

Any Advise greatly appreciated.

Anyway, its late, I have done no housework, Gerry is back tomorrow and I know I'm gonna get that look off him, you know the one, the one that says, what the hell have you done all week, sit on your arse doing nothing, and I'll just nod my head. But do I care, hell no I don't, I'm going to go to bed and eat a buttons easter egg, take my tablets and hope they knock me out for the night.

Take care of yourselves and keep blogging.

NHS - AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I never got to post on my blog yesterday, as spent the day catching up on sleep, I went to the hospital on Monday night after the kids art classes, got there at 8.45pm and left at 4.45am, 8 hours to see a doctor, can you believe it. They have implemented a new system which splits the clinics into two, one for major and one for minor injuries, I was classified a major, yet anybody who came in with a limp, sore arm, etc, was seen before me, cause the minor was better staffed and dealt with everything quicker. I waited 8 hours to have an x-ray and then be sent home with stronger painkillers. Doctor said if they don't work come back in a few days. I can now announce they are not working, so looks like I'll be back there on Thursday, which will be just super as Thursday is my birthday, so I get to spend it waiting around in a A&E.

Anyway, thats my rant for the day, off to work now, where I have to explain, why I was not there yesterday, and yet scornful looks, cause they are all superwoman and can manage into work after staying up with there kids all night, yadda yadda yadda

Sorry for ranting, but do feel better now, take care of yous xxxx

My head still hurts

My head is no better, so after I have done the childrens art classes tonight I'm gonna nip to the hospital to see if they can suggest anything, have been taking painkillers but nothing is touching it. I feel so stupid, cause there is still not a mark there, but I can't even touch the hairline part of my head without crying out in pain, which proved to be a big problem this morning in the shower when I was washing my hair. I'm not usually a softie either, so feel really daft, but I give in. I'll let you know how it goes.

its been CJ galore this weekend

I've managed to complete 3 CJ's this weekend, some feat for me, cause I usually put these things off till the very last minute. But I am trying to turn over a new leaf and make sure I'm ahead of schedule in the future. Can't see it lasting long though.

heres some sneaky peeks at the ones I've doneMy head is still killing me, have the biggest headache ever, and no tablets are taking it away. I even had an early night last night and a long lie today in the hope that it would be ok today, but no such luck, so I'm gonna have another early night tonight, after I've ironed my uniform for work tomorrow, thankfully ben has a uniform already done.

Gerry is just back in from Footy so I'm gonna go off and see whats for tea, I love the weekends as Gerry does all the cooking then, I'm suppose to do it during the week, but 9 out of 10 times I don't, must admit, I'm a lazy cow at times, must work harder at not been, as can sense a scene been made soon about it, so I'll cut it off at the pass before it arrives.

Saturday, May 20, 2006

Oh thats sore

I have the biggest headache today, and I know why, no i'm not hung over, yesterday at work, I was happily walking from one part of the shop to another, and bang, I hit my head on a low beam, now don't get me wrong the shop is not a usually a dangerous place, but I was in a good mood and walking with a spring in my step, well I must have been far to springy, cause the next thing I know, I have little tweety pies flying all around me. I now have a lovely lump, but no bruise, so my head must be either hard or empty, either way, nobody believes me cause there is not a mark, but I'm telling you, its really sore.

Taught a class this morning, it was scrapbooking for beginners, I do love getting beginners, first thing I had them do was Tear paper, yes thats right, tear paper, and they where all ok, not one of them fainted, so yippee, have them primed and ready. The class was good fun, even if the girls did come away from it thinking I'm some part of cult or something, as told them all the secret scrapping world that exists (Not), because they where so new, they had no idea, they did not even get excited about my turntable for my tote. Honestly any self respecting scrapper would be delirious with joy for a turntable.

This afternoon went to a crop and had a great time, we all stopped and had lunch together, one of the girls, Linda, is a primary school teacher and was telling us about the classes she has been doing recently with the P6's, Sex education, well we all learnt a thing or two, but maybe not the best subject for the lunch table, honestly those girls are mad.

Managed to get two CJ entries completed, I don't know how I ended up with so many to do, still have some more to do and am hoping to get cracking with them tonight if I can talk Gerry into making the tea.

I'll be back soon to let you see the pics of the CJ's and my bruise if it ever appears.

No news is good news

Sorry, no news for you today, but thought I would post anyway, to have a ramble. Have been helping my friend out tonight in preparation for a upcoming crop, so we had a giggle for a few hours, but shes getting over the cold and ran home early to go to bed, how boring. Gerry is back after a few days away, but already he is irrating me and I can't wait for his next trip, house is always nice and peaceful when he is out of it, and it even looks tidier when he is not about, how is it that men can make a place look messy as soon as they walk in the door. Ben even has this ability but at least he keeps it contained to his bedroom. Whoops scratch that, forgot about his pile of shoes by the back door and school bag and books left all over the place.

I have finally started to unpack my bags from bonanza and can't believe how much stash I brought, it will take a month of sundays to get through it all, but I'm gonna do my best this weekend. Have a class to teach on scrapbooking for beginners and then have a crop in the afternoon, where I have three CJ's I need to do, one is the final page in the Girly Whirly one and then I will get my own book back with everyone elses lovingly created works of art in it, I can hardly wait. Another is a brand new one on Love / Hate, only I've still not decided on what mine is gonna be about and the final one is just a double page layout as a thank you for a CJ we are putting together so I have my work cut out for me. My team on UKS are also wanting to do a CJ, but will not start till June so will have a bit more time to prepare for this one. Honestly I don't know why I leave everything to the last minute, I'm terrible.

Anyway, I'm off to bed, you take care of yourselves.

Bonanza was fantastic

Well I'm back, I'm tired, can't find a thing but I loved every minute of bonanza. I had a ball, managed to do 7 classes and I loved every one of them, created some fab things came away with my head whizzing with ideas and inspiration and even got a few good comments about the bits I'd made for Art from the Heart.

Why is that we all (or is it just me) lack confidence in the things we create, when I think back, I know the things I made where fantastic (I know my head won't fit through the door if I keep on), but I'm telling you, my confidence has taken so many blows recently that I was convinced that what I had made was horrible and would end up in the bin, but no I was wrong, Dyan and mark and the gang loved them all, and it was wonderful to hear customers come upto the stand and look at what I had made and say it was great, I came away glowing with excitment that they where talking about things I had made. Anyway enough of my self pity.

I met so many people, loads of them have been my heros for so long I was kinda shell shocked at meeting them in the flesh, first one and top of the list had to be Kirsty Wiseman, I love this woman and everything she creates, she must kinda think I'm a bit of a nutter, cause when we met, I gave her a big hug and then another and then another, could not stop myself, she is just flipping fantastic and I'm so proud and chuffed to say we both work for the same design team (blonde moments) well I loved meeting her and managed to book onto one of her classes and blagged my way into another one, so got to spend some great time at the masters feet, trying to glean as much of her creativety as I could possibly get away with stealing without her noticing. Only problem is, think somebody stole it from me, cause its all gone. I also met Anna from bumblebee crafts, now she is one awesome lady and she kindly took a pic of me and kirsty together, but I never had the balls for one of me her together, Doh big mistake, will have to try harder next time, but I'm sure that the photo is now in the hands of the police, to stop me stalking them.

I took my camera but was far to busy to take any pics, so sorry about that, but I will finish off the bits and pieces I made in the classes and will upload some of these for you all to see.

When I got home, was waiting at the carosel for my luggage and got a lovely surprise when Ben snuck up behind me to give a great big squish hug, when we got home, Gerry went out to his usual manly hour, 5 a sides (excuse for lardy arse men to run around for an hour, pretending they are brilliant at football, then they all come home, complaining of cuts and bruises and he pushed me etc) so whilst he was out, me and ben climbed under the quilt and watched tv and had some quality time catching up with each other. I do love out moments together like that, we sit and hold hands and talk for ages, I cherish these moments so much as the more he grows up the less he wants to do it, but Sunday was great cause he wanted to stay there for ages.

Thanks for dropping by and having a read of my blog, I hope you come back soon.

Take care of you.

Tuesday, May 09, 2006

OK, I did warn you that I would be really bad at updating my blog and true to form, life has taken over and I've not had a spare minute to update you with my goings on, so I'll attempt to let you all catch up now.

I had a real roller coaster of a week about 2 weeks ago, was speaking to the lovely Dyan from Art from the heart and she asked me to join the design team and she sent me some of the new scrummy yummy Blonde moment papers (Spring Fling and Suet Pudding), well I've been having a field day making stuff up for her ready for Bonanza and I've still more ideas to finish off.

Then the following day, I got a call from the new Do Crafts magazine asking me to design a project for them on Dry embossing, to say I nearly pee'd myself would be an understatement.

Kirsty summed it up great, she said I must be on top of the world and I said " yes can't find the ladder to get down, so gonna stay up here a bit longer". Anyway, I have now finished the project off and just have the boring writing bit to do and then I'm all ready to post off, which reminds me, I best pull my finger out as want to post it on Thursday before I leave for Bonanza. Yes thats right, I'm off to Bonanza, can hardly wait, have booked in for 5 classes, 2 with Dyan and one with Kirsty so should be a real hoot.

I took Ben and his friends to the park on Friday as the weather was so lovely and we had a ball, made it into an early birthday party for him, we took a picnic, pinyata (sorry can't spell today) and a ball and we spent 3 glorious hours just kicking back and having a ball, they boys loved it, and kept on going on about how it was the best party they have ever been too.

Anyway, I've still got loads to do, like iron my clothes for my brilliant trip, so I'm off, but I'll be back soon to share with you all the great gossip from Birmingham.

You all take care of yourselves.
